I have no idea why this is a controversial opinion, but like, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO FIND LOVE AGAIN!!!

I am not hating on Lenore Dove at all, I think she was a nice addition to the Hunger Games lore. But Haymitch is allowed to find love and feel love all over again.

You are also allowed to hold on to the memories of your first love, but you are also free to give out so much more love within you to a person you know you can give it to.

If anything, it adds so much more depth to Haymitch and Effie’s love story, wherein a person who feels unimaginably broken can still piece themselves together and find their soulmate in spite of the hauntings of the past.
