"Happy Valentine's Day! Oh wow- That's- that's a lot to unpack there! Not saying that's a bad thing or anything!"
Alan's head practically flew off his shoulders by trying to take in his presents.
"A star shaped box? That's cute! I haven't seen anything like this. I know Maeve would love it though."
He shook it around a little trying to guess what could be inside. There was a slight jingling before it was muffled by the sound of presumably paper and fabric.
"Ohhhh~ what could it be? Coins? Nah, there's no way you would give me that right?"
There was only one way to find out.
Even when he guessed correctly, the coins and bank notes that greeted him still served as a surprise.
"No- no way... 100 quid?!? You- you really shouldn't have... This wasn't made in a bad way right? This is really sweet of you and I can't thank you enough! But I seriously can't take it!"
He carefully pushed the coins to the side. God he has never felt this much money in his life. To the side was a rolled up piece of frilly pink fabric. Wonder what that was.
"Oh? Is this a dress for Roisin? That's jolly good of you! Let's take a l-"
The smile on his face froze as soon as he rolled it open.
An apron that would only fit him. His face turned as red as his hair.
"Are you sure? I'm a man and- it just wouldn't suit me right?"
He was never one to turn down a gift rudely however.
"No. I'm sorry- you gave this to me with love. And the money too. Thank you for your kind thoughts."
Alan shook his head, the warm smile from before returning.
"And a box of chocolates! You're really just to kind for lil' ol' me~"
"How about this: You gave me so much, so let me bake for you? Anything you want! I'll make it! I'll- use the apron too."
Even if he said that last part with a smile, he couldn't help but blush.
