Holy hell this monster took way too long to finish! Sorry for the delay y'all but here's the next part to this short comic here part 1 part 2

Looks like you can't even bathe in peace around here without being attacked by Corruptids (combination of corrupted and cryptid, get it lol)? At this point, there's been increased sightings of them, hopefully moving forward these 2 will be more aware of their surroundings.

Thankfully for Bryn, she had Kayde take care of it with ease. But it looks like after that tense altercation, feelings from both parties are starting to come to the forefront. Will this be the start of more than just a friendship between the two of them???

Also should note, they've known each other at this point for awhile now. My comics are chronologically all over the place, sorry for any confusion. Maybe I'll organize where they fall on the timeline in the master post when I have time.

So at this point in the story, the magical and human world are at odds with each other, with the royal family of the human world wanting to harness the power of the fae to fuel their desire for power over everyone in the region. So Bryn and Kayde have decided to team up together and do a bit of recon at a nearby human village. In hopes they can gain info on how to stop them.

Kayde can easily slip into any town, especially since he was a knight of the royal court (currently ex-knight actually, since he is against the views of the royal family at the moment). But Bryn on the other hand, can't easily slip by since the guards to the village are specially trained to detect magical beings (I know silly shes so small how can she not slip through, lets just say fairies give off magical energy when they fly which the knights can detect, still figuring that part out lets just roll with it lol). But Kayde finds an ingenious way to slip by (even if Bryn clearly objects to it)

After their successful reconnaissance at the human village, Bryn thought that they should reward themselves with a much needed dip in the lake not too far in the enchanted woods. They both find a nice secluded spot, away from the beaten path and from wandering human eyes. But Bryn isn’t so sure of Kayde’s. But Kayde absolutely assures her he would never stoop so low, he’s a gentleman, a stand up guy and a chivalrous knight after all.  But he insists that he stays close by since those creatures called corrupteds are still roaming around and have doubled in number (more on those creatures here). 

Really wanted to try backgrounds for a change with color. I enjoy drawing nature but i’m still too intimidated to dabble in towns and cities. That’s why I pretty much skipped the town scene mentioned above lol! And i’m trying to find a better way to color and render without being too detailed. It takes so long and I hope I can find a way to find a streamlined balance.  If I ever want to turn this into a comic one day, I don’t want it to take the rest of my life. If anyone has any comic examples for what I’m looking for in coloring and rendering, please let me know.

I love the headcanon that Tenna’s version of sleep talking is playing ads on his screen (I’m sorry I had to use the jet2holiday audio I’m just biased cuz I grew up with it as a Brit).

The cuties finally made contact!!! Kayde can't stand seeing someone in pain or uncomfortable and will pretty much do anything he can to alleviate the situation. And it looks like Bryn can't say no to a warm hand comforting her from the cold.

It's hard for her to admit, but with every interaction she has with Kayde, the more she seems to fall for him. But that's ridiculous, how can a fairy and a human even work?

Kayde is known for talking anyone's ear off if he's given the opportunity. His friendly demeanor and extroverted personality makes him quite popular with most people. Bryn however found this side of him to be incredibly annoying at first, but she slowly grew to enjoy his lengthy stories of his adventures as a knight of the royal court and beyond.

She would never admit it at first, but as time went on, her feelings for him grew, full on crushing on him. Although this deeply conflicted with her. Not only were fairies and humans great enemies during this time, but it was such a taboo concept to even entertain. Fairies and humans could never be romantic toward each other. How could that even work?

But little did Bryn know, Kayde was also starting to fall for her too.
