Sorry in advance if this is rude- but what art program do you use and could you share your brush settings? I'm absolutely enamored with how you paint!
WAAA NOT AT ALL RUDE DON'T WORRY!!! (❁´◡`❁) I'm the happiest that you enjoy my painting thank you somuch--!!!!!! (❤️´艸`❤️)
I use CSP and the brush that I use for all the painting is this from the store:
--but in my settings I think I edited for my own use, only the brush size dynamics setting and opacity if I remember correctly...(;´д`)ゞ
I hope it's useful to you~~( *︾▽︾)✨✨💖💖💖
do you have any advice on how to color?
SORRY FOR SUPER LATE REPLY I WAS SHADOWBANNEDDDDDD
Additional sorry for super lame reply because I have no idea how to explain the coloring process ;_; The best I can explain is that for illusts usually I will try to think of one main color as the base and then all the other colors relate to that one... THERE IS ALSO COLOR CORRECTION INVOLVED AT THE END, CSP TONE CURVE MY BELOVED
For examply this one ofcourse the main color is YELLOOWWW (my favorite ;3) and then all the colors are relative to that, red+brown+orangey are all close right... BUT with some of the cool tone colors added while rendering to give it some ?variety? (idk if that's the right way to say it o( ̄┰ ̄*)ゞ)
In summary I think my advice is to pick the main color + use the surrounding colors to harmonize with it, and then use opposite colors just a little to CONTRAST THAT'S THE WORD contrast with it (❁´◡`❁) ...which is very general advice I am sorry ψ(._. )>
Also now that I think of it usually the color choice just comes with the character design palette 🤔
And also also there is a thing I like to do which I suppose is related to the contrats but when I am shading I will do the average shading, and then afterwards take the same color but turn it towards gray and go over the shading with this. I don't know how clear it is to see but here I show some places I employ it :
And also if it can be seen through the glasses in this example, when I color metal shinies I will use the surrounding colors to put in it, such as the skin color in this, since it reflects right... <-- (doesn't know what I'm doing)
I hope any of it is helpful...!!! (❁´◡`❁)(❤️´艸`❤️)
