               Another dry laugh bubbled up the Kirigakure youth’s throat to part his lips in it’s sweet, chiming echo. Breaking his stillness at last, Haku returned to plucking the greenery at his knee, watching her from the corner of his eye. A curtain of sable tumbled over his shoulder with the movement, but he hardly minds it.

     ❝ Are YOU lonely? ❞ It wasn’t out of any particular curiosity that he asked, but he did wonder after her answer enough to raise his gaze to hers once more. Despite the glance, though, his hands do not pause in their work and, at length, his dark irises fall back to the task at hand.

Speechless , once again words were stolen as thoughts disappeared , the spoken  silenced her with confusion etched onto features.
