She’s pretty little…what if she gets stepped on or something? People are kind of self-absorbed, so it’d be no wonder. 

“I think a lot are inside, I haven’t seen many like, farmers markets….that’d be a surprise, actually.” And maybe a hint that this place is more peaceful, normal, than Deunan had thought.

“You know, I could use some snacks.” It’s decided. “Want to come with?”

Well, My Melody wasn’t very familiar with this place yet...and having someone to travel with would definitely be comforting, plus it would be much safer too! So she looked up at Deunan with a smile, and then she nodded her head. 

“Yeah!” She reached up with her arms and little paws outstretched towards Deunan. “....Oh...will you carry My Melo?”

unfortunately for My Melody - she just happened to choose to talk someone who would absolutely fawn over just the sight of her. As she talks, Queenie has to hold herself back from covering a hand over her mouth, squealing in absolute joy over how cute the little bunny was, and thankfully she’s able to do just that. 

As soon as the mention of reading bedtime stories comes up, however… 

“I’ll do it!” Queenie squeals, raising her hand as quickly as she can, as if she’s answering a question a teacher  is asking. “I can read you bedtime stories!” 

My Melody glanced up at Queenie; stared at her for a few moments before blinking a few times. “Huu....read My Melo bedtime stories...just like that?” 

While My Melody had experienced being fawned over before; she still wasn’t sure how to really....react when it happened. Besides saying ‘Thank you.’ a bunch, she’d find herself at a loss for words. “My Melo doesn’t even know your name!”

way, way, way, way, waaay too long. long enough for him to feel a little guilty about it. the attempted hug has him giggling from the slight ticklishness of her fur. “ i missed you too, melo. ” they can’t stop smiling at the fact that some form of familiarity finally decided to show up.

“ well, you gotta catch me up, then. what did you get into? who did you save? ”

“Well you see...first, My Melo was in a big city! She was there for a long time...maybe. And THEN she was in space, but you were there for that. And then....um....there was a place that....where there crows and lots of dreams!”  Unfortunately, she couldn’t recall too many specific details about those other places; but fortunately she had been able to remember her connection to Lio fairly well. Even if her memories were fuzzy, she was still the same ol’ My Melody.

“Hm...now that she thinks of it...she can’t really....remember that much...” She closed her eyes; her face scrunching up in frustration as she did so.  “Mnn...”

“Maybe.....just maybe....if we get to the top of the big big wall we’ll find a way to leave this place...maybe..!! My Melo wants to go home now. She’s very tired.”

“Little Melo?” Grimm calls, leaning down to return her a warm hug. How could he not, after all? Although it’s been a while since they’ve met, she’s an adorable and welcome sight.

“Strange indeed… but perhaps it’s not so bad? I know not what you’ve experienced, but my hope is there will not be joy taken in the harming of us here. While I cannot unquestioningly believe the reasoning for our presence here, it could be a good thing… What of you? Will you make new friends? See new things?”

Truthfully, My Melody was a bit tired of going on all these adventures. She just wanted to stay at home in Mariland, with her family, but it seemed like the fates had a different plan for her. “Huu....I dunno...” She shook her head, then buried her face in Grimm’s leg, like she was trying to hide from the world.

“It’s nice to see my friends again, friends like you...but...I wanna go home too. How can My Melo explore all the times, forever? It’s a lot of work! She needs to rest up!”

My Melody runs right up to Lio and CLINGS to his ankle.

wh– the little bunny sprinted so fast and close to the ground, lio almost missed her. he raises his eyebrow at the sensation, looking down and beaming at the sight of her.

“ my melody! ” he picks her up and gives her a biiiig hug! it’s been way too long.

How long had it been since she felt the warm of Lio’s hug? When she tried to recall, her memories became a bit fuzzy. More importantly though, they were together again, and My Melody gladly gave Lio the biggest hug she could manage with her little arms and paws.

 “Lio! Big bro Lio, My Melo has missed you terribly!” She pulled away slightly, just so she could look at them in the face. ”So many amazing things have happened to My Melo too! You wouldn't believe it!“

When she peers down at whoever caught her attention, the first thought is: is this place filled with stuffed animals? 

The next is: she’s super adorable. Deunan crouches down to Melody’s height, pondering the answer to that question.

“I haven’t seen any vending machines out here, but maybe at the grocery store? Have you been yet?”

“Huu...My Melo hasn’t gone into any stores yet...” Admittedly, she was a bit nervous to do so; at least by herself. Normally she’d be more than happy to take a skip, hop and a jump to the grocery store, but she hadn’t exactly settled into this new dimension yet. ...She was hoping for an easy gummie snack!! 

“Are the stores here ...outside...or inside?”

“Hee hee, this place has pretty flowers too! How nice...” My Melody quickly went to work and picked a dozen or so flowers before fashioning them into a beautiful accessory. When she heard a stranger approach from behind her, she glanced over at them with a curious expression. 

“Oh, hello there. Would you like me to make you something out of flowers too? It’s very easy for My Melo to do, you see. And they look like this!”  She held up the flower accessory that she’d made.

“Pokemon? ....My Melo knows what those are!!” Although she couldn’t quite remember where she had learned about them; she was certain that she had met a few before. Somewhere. 

“They are like little buddies and they...um...umm...oop, that’s all My Melo remembers I guess. Hehe.” She rubbed her head, smiling sheepishly as she did so.

As soon as My Melody spotted the rather tall figure in the distance, she ran right up to him and hugged his leg. A typical greeting for those taller than her. “Grimm!” Oh, how nice it was to see a familiar face. She glanced up at him with a cheerful smile. “My magician Grimm!” 

Although My Melody remembered him, it remained to be seen if he remember her. “This new place is awfully strange, isn’t it?”

“Yeas, I might be small, but I’m at least 7 so....that means I’m very responsibles!” She placed a paw on her own chest for emphasis. “And I have the Melody Takt in case I run into trouble too.” A lot of people tended to worry and fawn over My Melody just because she was....well, admittedly, she  was small, and she was a child. They should worry over her being alone. 

While she was more than capable of caring for her own needs, she tended to...stumble into trouble quite frequently.  “Ah...but still....it would be nice if I had someone to read me bedtime stories...”

My Melody hovered above Puppy and the little cat thing that was standing next to him. “Is that a nice kitty, or a naughty kitty? My Melo won’t come down if it’s a naughty kitty because...because!! There’s a naughty kitty back on Earth where I’m from and it chases me around all the time and it’s very scary and stuff so...!” She took breath. “That’s why.”
