Yea I do miss feeling high of hunger in the morning, poking my empty stomach and hear loud grumbles Yea I do miss stepping on the scale and seeing that the number has dropped, my achievement in cold print Yea I do miss feeling like you have a secret, something that is your own, that everyone knows about but no one dares to address Yea I do miss being able to trace bones I didn’t even know existed Yet. Yet I don’t miss breakdowns in my room, feeling miserable because I felt like I lost control over my life and didn’t know what i got myself into. Yet I don’t miss the look of pure sorrow and desperation on my mums face, when she caught me weighing tiny pieces of cucumber. Yet I don’t miss not having the energy to do anything, but still dragging myself through hourlong workouts. Yet I don’t miss wasting all my time on counting calories, wasting all my thoughts on obsessing over food; Yes. Being skinny is nice, and I don’t think I will ever think otherwise, but the price you pay for it is beyond compare. Recovery taught me that nothing looks as good as healthy feels 🌻
