WELL - this was interesting. Fi has arrived in a time where her Master is... really short, and... cartoony. Cartoon like? Hollow eyes stare down at her tiny companion. If she had emotions, she would most certainly be feeling bemuses. ❝Master Link. It is a pleasure to see you again.❞ She bends her body forward, bowing to her master, for no matter the time or the Link -  he resembled the Chosen Hero and he would get his sure dues of respect from her.

❝Do you know who I am?❞ she asks, unaware that this toon Link may be a bit startled with the sudden appearance of a blue, floating person. She didn't mean to startle, if she did. Intentions aside, she... just stares at Link, awaiting to see what he will do. She is his guide, after all. Her Grace had made her to be. Links were usually in control of her sword, so naturally, wouldn’t she be a servant-figure to them? Fi wasn’t going to do anything until she was commanded. 

Peace is a sensation unfamiliar to her, but she would be lying if she wasn’t feeling something akin to it. She, once again, found her Master. By the goddess, what a victory for her.

cold. as. ice. you never let anyone off the hook when they wrong you. careful dances in your ballet shoes have deemed them worn and useless, but a new pair awaits you from the closet. living in the lap of luxury has made you the dream friend of any given person at your school. is that really who you want to be? you're so much more than your money, your eloquence! don't let your beauty go to waste.

❝ Master Link.❞

Her voice chimes, echoing. If Link was currently near the Master Sword, her voice would be heard crystal clear. ❝How are you feeling?❞ One part of her job was to keep track of the Hero’s wellbeing. Considering she was in the sword all the time, she was very close to Link, metaphorically and literally - and she could keep her best eye on him. Not everyone has unlimited stamina nor strength. Not everyone is a sword spirit nor goddess. A hero wouldn’t do well if they weren’t feeling their best, were they? The sword spirit not only has to guide, but be a companion as well. She didn’t know how well she could be a friend - not programmed to experience friendship the same way other species do but -

She would try.

...Her Grace had asked it of her. It is hard to maintain the roles. To be both a teacher and trusted friend.  ❝If you are unwell, we can take a break. It is good for humans to relax every once and a while, is it not, Master Link? That’s what I’ve seen and heard, anyway.❞

If Fi could smile, she would be giving him one, you know. Fi cared about her Master. More so than she should, anyway.

“How were you able to find all the pieces of the key so easily?” Link’s still in awe at Fi’s dowsing abilities and still trying to get used to them. Of course, that also means not taking any credit for the work he did to get to the crevices and crannies where the key parts were hiding.

“It almost feels unfair, y’know. Having you do all that work…”

❝I have been programmed to be efficient, Master Link.❞ Fi replies, castling a hollow glance at her master. If Fi could smile, she would be offering Link one. He wasn’t taking credit for what he had done, only what SHE had done. Perhaps he is what humans call “humble?” Humility, as she analysed, was a good thing, but...

❝You needn’t worry yourself, Master. I only located the key pieces, you sought them out and found them.❞

How does Fi feel about the constant string of reincarnation from Demise, Hylia and Link? Simple, she doesn’t. Her purpose is guide - not to feel guilty about it. She doesn’t have the capacity to get attached to a certain Link ( except Sky Link tbh ). She’s polite, but it’s a distant, kind of polite.

Maybe she knows that this time’s Link will end TOO in reincarnation. Can’t get too close to the people who’re gonna leave you, right?

❝Are you acquainted with Master Link?❞ It is a sudden question, but Fi simply can’t help herself. All the different times and all the Links within them, Fi was aware of them all. This time was no difference. This little lad seemed to have struck up quite a friendship with her Master Link. Not that she was complaining. She was glad Link had someone besides her to confine in. It must be incredibly dull when the emotionless, blue, floating and generally stoic lady is your only companion.

Right?

❝I am Fi. You need not be afraid of me. I am here to serve, to guide.❞ She doesn’t say WHO she serves. She implied it to be Master Link. He didn’t need to know she serves the goddess Hylia. She had heard he came from an alternate... dimension? World? She didn’t feel the need to waste her breath on a concept like Hylia, who might not even exist where he comes from.

Fi taken aback for a mere moment - does not move for a mere moment before waving back. Pardon her, she needed to... analyse the situation. She doesn’t have hands, or arms to speak of but this is close enough. According to her analysis, waving is a common form of human gesture. Master Link sometimes does this to her.
