House in Chau Doc by NISHIZAWAARCHITECTS
Located in a suburb of ChauDoc town in AnGiang province, Southern Vietnam, this house is a sharing residence of 3 nuclear families who are kin. Although this project budget was tightened with local standards, which only allowed us to build a house with thin corrugated metal panels, we have tried to satisfy not only the regional spirits but also the rich lifestyle in which is fulfilled by sunlight, greenery and natural ventilation, as it were, living in a half-outdoor gardens.
I do want to design my own house lol that'd be awesome. Hate me but I do love brutalism. I just love concrete so much! The geomtric elegance and austerity. It wouldn't necessarily need to be some 'soviet brutalism' but like that cool 'tropical box house' in Malasia. I love the concept. Especially cuz I'm from a real tropical country and I know what is to deal with the heat 24/7. I don't mean pure real concrete but the aesthetic.
Many consider concrete a cold material but for some reason I feel like you, concrete is warm and unpolished, an honest material. If you are using it in a tropical climate make sure to provide opportunities for cross breezes and limit the exposed surface area of concrete on the walls that would receive the sun directly most of the day.
Here are some incredible brutalist houses:

Van Wassenhove House Juliaan Lampens
Reyes Fernandez Residence Pedro Reyes and Carla Fernandez
Apollo Pavilion by Victor Pasmore (not technically a house, but house scale)

The Miniatures of Joshua Smith
Joshua Smith is a miniaturist and former stencil artist based in Norwood, South Australia. With a career spanning 17 years he has showcased his work in London, Paris, Berlin, New York, Japan and all over Australia in over 100 exhibitions. Formerly a self taught stencil artist Josh refocused his career to establishing Espionage Gallery, an Art Gallery based in Adelaide, South Australia showcasing both emerging and well established local, interstate and international artists. For 4 years he showcased over 600 artists from over 20 countries.
In 2015 after the closure of Espionage Gallery Josh refocused back onto his own career this time as a self taught miniaturist. His miniature works primarily focus on the often overlooked aspects of the urban environment such as grime, rust, decay to discarded cigarettes and graffiti perfectly recreated in 1:20 scale miniatures.
