āShe has the feeling, all her life, that she never makes sense. There is something else, big and dark, at the edge of what she knows, she cannot say. She always has the feeling she is translating into broken english. Language all her life is a second language, the first is mute & exists.ā

āIf he had attacked me outright, I might have been able to defend myself. Instead, he exposed my secret as if offering himself to me. I was left mute, listening to my heart pounding in my chest.ā

āTo emancipate woman is to refuse to confine her to the relations she bears to man, not to deny them to her; let her have her independent existence and she will continue none the less to exist for him also: mutually recognizing each other as subject, each will yet remain for the other an other.ā
ā Simone de Beauvoir, The Second Sex (via philosophybits)
Oh, I'm that kind of girl.
āLet someone love you just the way you are - as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe you must hide of all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.ā

Happiness is like chasing the shadow of death.
Been looking for it for years now. But I failed again. I failed for the second time. Was it hard? Yes, it was hard to moved on from the heartaches and pain. There are times that I think death could justify the real meaning of happiness; there's no sorrow and agonizing emotions. That the end is just my beginning. So I let myself feel the excruciating pain once again. It feels so good; I felt so numb and heartless. I don't believe in love anymore that's what I thought, because it will break you apart, it will ruin you and kill you in a most possible way it can. But.. just like anybody else, I am still hoping, to find a new beginning at the end of this.

āThere is a saying that to understand is to forgive, but that is an error⦠You must forgive in order to understand. Until you forgive, you defend yourself against the possibility of understanding.ā
