The first time I had scales painted on me for anthrocon, I was SO reluctant to wash them off. If you have the opportunity, paint some on the back of your hand so you can see them move with your skin. It's unreal.

Not exactly a take as much as a realization :

So i LOVE butch applejack. So much in fact that in my head butch applejack WAS canon. But recently i looked back right, and oh my god i was so wrong. She's not butch at all. Those are her work clothes. Whenever she gets a break from work or even someone gets her to see Hey ur not working on the farm at least today, she dresses really feminine at least imo. She wears bows and dresses, all that stuff. Her style is still country girly, but its still GIRLY. I just thought about this and went damn, how often do i label people based on their literal work clothes. Of course she doesnt wear makeup and frills and dresses and glittery shoes all day, she works on a farm!! But when she can, and its not Totally uncomfortable she loves femininity! Idk, im still gonna hc as butch bc its just Cooler to me i think but i do think i was a bit unfair just blindly thinking of her butch when she's showed me that thats not exactly true of canon eg or fim applejack! Is every ballerina fem? Or are those her work clothes? Do i really like collared shirts? Or are those my work clothes? Does this women really like modest clothing? Or are these Just her work clothes? So much to think about ! Again this is just a personal realization for me like Damn she only presents this way because she works allllll the time and ive been identifying her by what is just the proper attire for her job. she was raised into this career, what farmer can be fem 24/7. not exactly fair 😛BUT NOW THAT IVE REALIZED THIS SHE WILL STILL BE BUTCH IN MY HEART FOREVER.
