STRONGgummies and the false Kismesistude-

So, initially, before I really understood how the quadrants and troll romance worked, I assigned Equius to be my Kismesis, as Gamzee was already my Matesprit.

But, Kismesistude requires hatred. It is a rivalry of sorts, something that Equius and I don't really have.

Trolls are a very rage-filled species. Hate and violence are very important parts of their culture, but that is unfortunately something I lack. I am not a very hateful person. There are very few things in life that I absolutely despise, and I generally try to be kind to those around me, even if I don't like them that much.

So, I have given my Trollsona some flavor of troll aromanticism. Which, They don't actually know. They think everything is normal. That they feel the way everyone else does. But hatred does not come as naturally to them as it does to their peers.

So, when Gummey found joy in teasing Equius, they figured this had to be what kismesistude was about, right? it was romantic/sexual, but they already had a matesprit, so logically, there was only one other quadrant it could fit in, right?

I like to think that Equius understands this to a certain degree. He hasn't said anything yet, as he feels it isn't his place. When Gummey suggested kismesistude, Equius was a bit confused, as their relationship simply didn't have the black feelings one would normally associate with such a label. But any quadrant with a highblood was fine by him, so he accepted.

Functionally, Gummey and Equius's relationship is more akin to matespritship, but cannot offically be called that due to cultural norms, since Gummey and Gamzee are a pair.

I think that eventually, maybe after a conversation with Resident Quadrant Expert Karkat, (and maybe Nepeta) Gummey would kind of. Have an epiphany. and maybe panic over it a bit.

In the end, I believe that they would continue to use the kismesis label, even if it isn't entirely accurate. Equius would be hesitant at first, since he is very loyal to the caste system and those sorts of cultural values, but after being in whatever this relationship is for so long, he feels an attachment that he doesn't want to lose.

So while "officially" they are Kismesises, they don't really fit the mold set by society. And only a few people really understand that, although some friends of theirs would have a feeling that something was a little different.

Honestly? Probably not. I don't mind it all that much! I would lick it off him WHAT WHO SAID THAT anyway. Nah, I would think it's really cute how nervous he gets around me. I might have to go ahead and get one of those sex blankets that's hydrophobic and stuff tho. not for sex just for the sweat.

I already drink a LOT of milk, especially for someone who is lactose-sensitive. So I don't think my habits would change much! He would be happy that I am pro-milk already.

He'd probably smell like oil and metal, from working with robotics and machinery! You know that kinda sour smell you get from touching like, iron playground equipment or smth with your hands? That smell. His hair would smell nice tho, he'd have fancy hair conditioner.

ouuhhgg,g, this reminds me, I need to. write something more in-depth about our false kismesistude. but that will get a post of its own. Equius loves being told what to do. so I would say Words of Affirmation- even if they aren't.. nice words. Sometimes I'll say positive things, sometimes negative- he likes them all the same :o)

Within the universe of my selfship, my least favorite thing about him is how unwilling he is to learn new shit. It steals all the magic from his miracles or whatever. But I LOVE knowing stuff. I love collecting random funfacts and trivia tidbits and I love sharing them with other people. Also I hate his stupid got tier outfit oh my goddddd it looks so dumb.

Hmm... I mean, it would be nice if he Locked In more often, but narratively it makes more sense that he would only do it on occasion.
