stained mosaics
I completed a new set of ACEOs which feature a stained window/ mosaic vibe. Still unsure if I want to end up coloring in the fish or leave them white

stained glass mushroom
Wanted to give creating a stained glass effect a try. I realized there weren’t many tutorials or guides when it came to drawing or painting stained glass as a picture. Most of the search results yielded painting or drawing on actual glass or creating stained glass. So decided to venture forth anyway and try my hand at creating my own piece that replicated a stain glass effect.
linked is the TikTok video posted about the process in making the drawing. Apologies for some of the line art being missed in the recording process, still getting the hang of videoing my art process.

fruit salad in oil pastels
Working in oil pastels I played around with color theory. Trying to blend complimentary colors together to create contrast and balance. My favorite is the pear
just a simple shroom
A quick minimal drawing made for an art video I am working to edit. Taking a deep breath and dipping my toes into recording the art process. Currently with my lack of experience I recorded a 23 min video of this illustration from start to finish that I needed to edit down to a much more manageable length of time. Next will be the audio portion but soon hope to have it posted. Have not decided which of my platforms will get to host this little gem. But for now I share the finished product.
Spent the afternoon in the library today and while I sat there amongst the books I felt inspired. Originally sketched and then inked. I have been adding a lot of color in my works since posting here. But there was a time I only worked in black and white. Today I also felt inspired to complete this one in black ink using the white paper as the white space.
3rd ACEO series. Forest friends 🌳
3rd series created, wanted to branch out of my comfort zone, and used mostly watercolor pencil instead of my typical acrylic marker. The first image was a mix of ink, acrylic, and pencil. It features a flock of birds flying overhead. Second image is also a majority of waterclor pencil with a few white gel ink highlights and features a cozy sleeping fox in a den. The third would be an adorable hedgehog with his pinecone friend. Fourth is a stoic owl on her branch, awaiting the dusk. Fifth is an alerted rabbit who is aware of a predator in the area.
Sixth is a grazing deer in an open meadow. Seventh is a peaceful turtle near the shore of his pond - acrylic was used to smooth out the water. Eighth is a family of trash pandas squeezed together in their burrow with the middle being semi squished in between his family.
Final is two clumsy possums learning to use their tails to swing from their home branch.
Complete Cats in the garden set
I had the most fun creating this series. I was inspired after each edition of what the next should be that I ended up
creating all 9 in one day. I listed them in my eBay store if interested in purchasing

Cats in the garden
Working on creating my second series of ACEOs. Featuring cats in the garden.
first ACEO series completed
first ever aceo series completed and available on eBay. I decided it is time to push myself further in showcasing my work. This is the first time I’ve ever considered posting any of my work for sell. You can view them on eBay if you so wish to support.

redraw
As I went through a 2023 sketchbook of mine I stumbled upon one drawing that I HATED. The proportions were weird and the teeth were tiny awkward squares. Then I realized… I could rework it. I didn’t have to keep as something I was embarrassed by. Proportions are still not perfect. But there are no more disturbing tiny square teeth. Top and bottom portions were painted with acrylic markers and the middle was slightly erased and then redrawn in graphite again. Something I took away from this piece was it’s okay to redo or redraw. You’re not obligated to keep something the same because at one point you considered it finished.
ACEO Journey
I’ve come across several artists who have created mini artworks known as ACEOs. And became super inspired to create my own artwork to save in a binder. I’ve decided to do a medieval/fantasy theme. These are the first 2 in this series.
Since I never had much success in carving an actual pumpkin I’ve decided to doodle one instead. 🎃🎃
A study of a fantasy style figure.. with an added forestry background. Had fun playing with several textured brushes including the light brushes in procreate to create highlights and the wrapping swirl. The background was done in several paint brushes with a few nature brushes to add depth and detail.
Best Seat In The Forest- Originally a pencil sketch I did many years ago that I imported into Procreate. I enjoyed cleaning up this sketch and giving it more of a lined look. I was torn between adding color but then ultimately decided to keep it in the coloring page style.

My Pet Guardian- A tribute to my puppy. Aside from the two kittens I have I also have a lovely little black lab-collie mix. She’s a complete sweetheart and has taken to the cats as part of her herd. She is not as stoic in appearance but I wanted to capture her spirit.

Just a lil snack. So, I know a special kid who is full blown obsessed with Pandas. As practice I borrowed a favorite National Geographic book {reference} and got to work. I must admit this probably was one of the most zen illustrations I found myself doing. And in the end I got an official stamp of approval. I am almost tempted to print it so it can also take its place on the honorary fridge. I was most impressed this was all done on one layer.

No use crying over spilled paint. This digital piece is of 1 of 2 of my mischievous kittens. As they both love climbing within my workspace and sometimes knocking over jars of paint and ink. I enjoyed playing with the bright colors and adding highlight. This was made through the procreate app using Studio Pen and color fill. As well as using some filter adjustments: Gradient Map and Gaussian Blur in background layers.
