Sholay Tawa Murgh at Shalimar, Bhendi Bazaar. So we paid a visit to the very well known Shalimar at Bhendi Bazaar for dinner, during the last food trip to Mohammed Ali Road. I had hear a lot about it, but never imagined it to be this huge. The place has different sections for everything, fast food, Chinese, Punjabi & Moghlai as well as a separate corner for their Tawa dishes. The place was so crowded when we reached that, for a moment we considered going someplace else. Even the waiting room was packed to the rafters with families waiting for their share of good food. But luckily we got a place in the next ten minutes because a table for two cleared up right then. I couldn't look the others waiting there in the eye. But yay for us! For starters we ordered their Chicken Reshmi Kebab and Seekh Kebab. The Reshmi was literally melt in the mouth, and had a lovely char to it. As for the Seekh Kebab, it was absolutely succulent. And what huge pieces! For the Main Course we asked for their Sholay Tawa Chicken, being tempted looking at the open Tawa Kitchen. I started wishing I hadn't ordered that Butter Naan to go with the Sholay Tawa Murgh. Somehow we finished the Naan up but couldn't finish the gravy. No worries, it became our next day's lunch. P.s The tawa chicken is VERY spicy. Spicier than you can imagine it to be. So spicy that little sweat droplets started forming on both our faces. Not for the weak hearted. But there is nothing a Phirni from Tawakkal's cannot solve. #throwbackthursday #mumbai #mumbaikar #aamchimumbai #igersmumbai #igersindia #food #foodporn #foodgasm #foodgloriousfood #welltravelled #featuremeinstagood #huffpostgram #nationalgeographic #ig_india #incredibleindia #letsgosomewhere #chroniclingmumbai #amazingindia #instamumbai #huntgramindia #huntgram #Streetsofindia #iwalkedthisstreet #Indiaphotos #indianphotosociety #Crispcaptures #Exklusive_shot #gramoftheday #photooftheday
