Is there any way you can make your Inquisition default eyes a little brighter? The whites of the sims eyes are very natural looking which in turn makes them look a little dull in game. Sorry if this is offensive, I don't mean for it to be. I love the eyes, they're perfect for me, aside from the dull look.

Don’t worry. I actually agree! Totally game to revisit them.

So hella erase all the stuff I put before because… they’re done!  I tweaked the files and here are you slightly brighter eye whites on the Inquisition defaults! (Also took the liberty of shading the eye whites just a little.)

If you’re one of the 1k downloaders of the previous version and wanna trade up, you’re in luck! You can download the new and improved defaults, and as with any DR, just replace them with these. :)

The eyes have the cute name ‘DAIdefault2.package’ so they can be told apart from their predecessors

Miss Cow Butt Eyes

Hello world! I come from the ether as a long time lurker and player of The Sims 3 bearing something that appeals likely exclusively to me and only me.

The Long Story

I am a brown person who wants to make cute sims that reflect me. Sure, I don't have a glowing heart eye light in my sclera, but that doesn't mean I don't deserve one. And these eyes from CowplantCartel are simply too damn cute.

Likewise, I recently stumbled upon this lash recoloring mod, and I was like, "Oh wow! That's so cool! Let me add that to my game." And it worked! Except...using lighter shades of hair kinda pointed out how much I dislike the EA eyelash "mesh." So I found a different one by PotatoButt that tickled my fancy.

Finally, I kept noticing with the skin blend that I use that I was getting this red lip that honestly looked damn near racist every time I chose a darker skin color. After some research, I found this mod, and learned that it conflicts with most default eye replacements. I also learned that it had absolutely nothing to do with the CC creator and everything to do with EA giving the femme frames lipstick for...some reason. Grumble grumble.

Then...

I found this post.

ALL OF THIS IS TO SAY THAT AFTER AN EXTREMELY LONG JOURNEY OF ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES, I CAN NOW PRESENT TO YOU...

MISS COW BUTT EYES.

...In all seriousness, this is an extremely kitbashed combination of:

PotatoButt's N1 Eyelash Replacement (@potatobuttcheek)

CowplantCartel's Northern Siberia N1 Default Eye Replacements (@cowplantcartel)

...which are in turn from Northern Siberia (Sims 4) (@northernsiberiawinds)

Missy Harries' No Lip Overlay/EA Overlay Fix (MTS) or just like. deleting the lip overlay. Y'know.

I made this in about 10 minutes for personal use and then decided why not share if it's in line with each of their ToS's? I know literally nothing about Sims 3 modding. So let me know if it's broken for whatever reason.

This is HIGHLY LIKELY to conflict with any mods that change anything related to the default face overlay. I have not tested this extensively. It works, at minimum, with the base game skin and Satellites by Simarex, Male and Female, Toddler through Elder. I have no clue if this works for Mac, and won't be testing it because...my Apple laptop can't run TS3.

I recommend using Delphy's Dashboard to ensure these files don't "collide" with anything you have. I will likely not be putting extensive work into compatibilities for this mod, but you're welcome to ask. Oh, and it works with Recolorable Eyelashes.

Example(s) of the issue I see with other Default Replacements*. Note that my Sim has no makeup on and that the red tint cannot be removed and isn't covered well by makeup. Eyelashes are the longest length and, while not terribly offensive, they're a bit "glam" for what I personally want out of my game.

It's not TERRIBLE with medium-dark tones...

...but it's pretty damn bad on deeper tones.

...and it's an issue that persists even if you aren't using any default replacements at all.

*Note that I have zero hatred in my soul for any of these creators, nor do I expect them to--God forbid--comply with the biblical amount of greed that I have for the "perfect" skin blend, "perfect" overlays, etc. I am thankful to each and every one of them for doing 99.9% of the work needed for me to achieve this blend that is perfect for me. I hope it can be perfect for you too!
