What's all this, then?
One day while wasting away at my boring office job, it occurred to me that Sasha Velour would deliver an incredible performance to Guster's "Two Points for Honesty."
I shared this passing thought with my friend who had been guiding me through select seasons of Drag Race. Instead of telling me to get some sleep, he encouraged me to pair each of Guster's songs with the Drag Race contestant I would most like to see perform it.
None of this made any sense. I had watched only a few seasons of Drag Race, he only knew a few Guster songs...and what would drag queens need with music from an ostensibly cishet alt rock band that once had a song featured in a Weather Channel ad anyway?
But I love nothing more than nonsensical fan labor, so me and my mp3 player got to work. I mentally auditioned artists for each song. I watched many additional seasons of Drag Race. I took way too much time deciding what to do with "Diane." And now that I am finished, it is time to start sharing this unlikely peanut butter cup of an idea with Tumblr.
