Me: Ah okay, so 10 cloves of garlic for half a kilo of sprouts.

And don't forget the lab staff. They play an important role in diagnosing patients too!

Happy Lunar New Year, fellow goblins! This year belongs to the Metal Rat! As you might know, the Rat is the first animal in the Chinese Zodiac calendar. According to folklore, it used its wits (some might say craftiness) to come in at first place in The Great Race that was held by the Jade Emperor of Heaven. I decided to go with gold as my metal choice for my lil’ elemental rat, as it is associated with abundance, love and fortune. In terms of alchemy, gold represented the perfection of all matter, including that of the mind, spirit and soul. With that in mind, I hope all of you have a wonderful Chinese New Year, regardless of whether you celebrate it or not! 💖
Gold earrings of Seti II
This ear ornament of King Seti II was found in 1908 with other artifacts belonging to the king and to Queen Tausert in a hiding place in the Valley of the Kings.
It is composed of a flat trapezoidal centerpiece from which hang seven pendants in the form of cornflowers. At the end of the upper hollow tube of the earring, which is meant to keep a wig in place, there is a concave corolla of eight petals on one side and a stud on the other.
The birth and throne names are engraved on the flat piece. The use of earrings and ear ornaments as accessories to enhance the beauty of both sexes has been known since the era of the New Kingdom.
Discovered with a cache of jewelry in the Gold Tomb (KV56) in the Valley of the Kings, West Thebes. New Kingdom, late 19th Dynasty, reign of Seti II, ca. 1200-1194 BC. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. JE 39675

I did this cute little Buzzfeed quiz:
"Don't be afraid. I feel it, too."
Where you pick some food and it tells you whether you're more Ben Solo or Kylo Ren.
So I was doing it and got to this question about breakfast food and was torn between bacon or eggs. So I chose bacon and got Ben Solo.
Then I repeated it. I chose all the same options I did the first time round until I got to the breakfast question. I chose eggs this time. And I got Kylo Ren!
So anyway, please consider my new fan theory.
Ben Solo: *is conflicted*

you know when you’re born in a non-english speaking country bilingualism is kind of a default. we are taught english from a young age so when someone asks me what languages do i speak, i respond with “well croatian and english obv, but im studying french and russian too”. and that bothers me. because english is fucking hard. in my country bilingualism is default, trilingualism is expected, and people get impressed when you speak five fucking languages where as native english speakers are praised for learning one (1) foreign language. i get that english is a major global language and why it is taught, but it bothers me that even if i spoke 5 languages fluently it would be useless if i didnt speak perfect english. and along with that, all of my hard work that i put into my english is dismissed because english is expected of me. rant over.
This what you call English language imperialism.
