I keep seeing so many people be like " Grian HAS to be buffer than Scar, because he canonically beat him in a fist fight!" SCAR WAS PURPOSEFULLY NOT HITTING GRIAN. Watching his POV of the cactus ring in slowmo, you can see that every time Scar's crosshair even got NEAR Grian's hitbox, Scar jerked it away. He hit the air around Grian, as Grian stood still, but he couldnt stop the battle, Grian had to keep fighting, even if Scar wasnt. If I counted correctly, Scar only hit grian SEVEN TIMES, and Grian hit Scar TWENTY TIMES. Scar isnt stupid, or bad at PVP, he wanted to let Grian win. And that was clear, from how he rarely jumped to crit Grian, but Grian did it too many times to count. It didn't matter how much stronger Grian was than Scar, Scar let him kill him. He didn't beat Scar, Scar allowed him to win. If he wanted to win, Scar would've.

Something I've noticed about Scar in the life series is that he's always always building something that's meant in some way to bring people to him. In Third Life he wants to settle in the desert and hoard sand so that people will have to come and buy it from him. In Last Life he takes the enchanter and brings it to his base and people have to come to him to enchant. In Double Life he builds the Jellie Panda sanctuary and advertises it to be for couples counseling. In Limited Life he has a family, so he builds a home and installs a welcome mat. In Secret Life he builds a Trading Hut, and a courthouse, both of which sort of rely on the existence of other people to fulfill their purpose. In Wild Life it's a theme park, a roller coaster. Past Life is a little more vague, but it's his idea to build the hot tub, and they start and end every episode that way and even have guests that aren't his teammates. Like he's always making sure that he has something to offer — a reason for people to visit him or stay.

- scar had always been in love with the hero but only realized it when grian came along

- scar, despite being an elf whos lived thousands of years and read thousands of books, has no idea how human romance works. grian, on the other hand, is a freak.

- the only difference between the hero and grian is that the hero has blue eyes.

- grian found the ring when he was younger while playing in the part of town thats near the woods. it was hanging from a branch that looked like a hand. at first, it was too big on his hand, but when he grew older and it finally fit, he felt an overflow of emotions that he couldnt explain. he hasnt taken the ring off ever since.

Rewatching Secret life because I forgot just how much fun the Boogeyman curse task was when they infected Scar, like he burnt the book and ran away so Gem had to reason with him like he was a wild animal 💔 Oh secret life how much I love you
