With Marvel’s major 2015 Secret Wars event kicking off on May 2nd, the House of Ideas is going all out with their homage to the original Secret Wars. These variant covers based on Mattel’s Secret Wars action figures are a stroke of genius and I could only be happier if they were producing the actual toys.

Really inspired by the current “time runs out” stuff in Avengers by Hickman. This is my take on Dr. Strange / Black Priest, with a dash of geometry and mason secret society feels.

SILVER SURFER Tome 1 cover art by Francesco Francavilla
EXCITED to find out that the French edition of Dan Slott & Mike Allred’s SILVER SURFER Vol.1 HC showcase my variant covers for the front and back cover. And from the look of it, the Surfer and the meteors in the foreground seem to have a special coating to separate them from the bg. Definitely need to hunt a copy down: gotta add it to my shelf :)
