This is one of the many presets born from me trying to make one to be my main one. So expect many more, I'll be sharing them all!
I'm currently using: Sunblind by @softerhaze, Even Better In-game Lighting Mod (Bright) by @northernsiberiawinds, Out of The Dark by @lotharihoe
BIGGER BEFORE & AFTERS: O1 • O2 • O3
You'll find the download below the cut at the end of the post, some mandatory stuff is listed before.
.
MANDATORY DOWNLOAD:
The Moods MultiLUT by @pictureamoebae
(Tbh a must even if you don't use my preset!)
To install amoebae's MultiLUT just open your GShade Control Panel > Installs > Open Custom Shaders & Textures Folder.
DO NOT copy the "reshade-shaders" from MultiLUT download. Instead open it and merge the "Shaders" and "Textures" folders from inside it with the ones from GShade's.
You won't need to download Prod80's Framework as stated by amoebae, GShade already comes with all Prod80's shaders.

SHORTCUTS LIST:
(on/off is for what it is by default)
PRO TIP: I always adjust the "BloomAndLensFlares" shader to my needs, which is where the magic of this preset lies. The settings I'm uploading it with may be too strong or too light for some cases, so it really depends on your shot. Just mess with the "fBloomThreshold" slider a bit and see what I mean and, if you're feeling confident, mess with the "fBloomAmount" altogether.
I’m not sure if it’ll be ok for you guys, but this is the one I use for gameplay. It makes everything brighter and with more life. I’m using this forever now. For some people it can be too strong for gameplay, tho. I’d really appreciate if you guys tagg’d me on your posts if you use this so I can see what you come up with :3

I made this some time ago inspired on sims3melancholic’s editing. Not really successful, his pics are much more beautiful than this! I really wish I could replicate that on ReShade. I’d really appreciate if you guys tagg’d me on your posts use these so I can see what you come up with :3

It’s very simple, that I can guarantee. They have a guide, but I wanted to make a more detailed one. If you wish to check theirs, click here. To also check the release notes for each update, click here.
This tutorial is for ReShade 3.x.x. Check the notes at the and of the post. Really. Do it. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
deelitefulsims made this discovery after many hours of wanting to tear her hair out by the roots. I was lucky enough to be on the phone with her this evening when she made this profound revelation ;) I then checked my settings and saw that my compression settings were on “production” which is why I couldn’t replicate her results on my computer. I’m not sure if “highest” would be even better, but it wouldn’t hurt, I don’t guess.
So if you’re having pixelation issues, give this a try!
There are a lot of ReShade presets for TS4 made by many different people, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a list of them for people to browse and find one that suited their needs.
There are also a lot of tutorials and other resources related to ReShade and taking screenshots more generally, and having links to them all in one place seemed like it would be useful. This includes the excellent ReShade installation guide by @gabreux-sb, along with my own troubleshooting guide, and various ReShade usage tips.
You can swap between the presets and tutorials spreadsheets using the tabs at the bottom of the page.
If you know of other ReShade presets I should include on this list please let me know! Hopefully we can grow this to be as comprehensive as possible.
I’ve collected 26 ReShade presets on the list now. Please remember to let me know if you are the creator of any and want it added, or if you know of any that should be included. I don’t religiously follow cc/mod/reshade tags so I’m sure there are lots I’ve missed.

STEP 01
Download ReShade from its site, here. If you make your own presets, remember that you can’t redistribute their shaders, people have to download it from their site on their own.
STEP 02
Right-click the installer and open it as administrator
STEP 03
Click on ‘select game’ and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin (or wherever your game is installed) and choose the .exe related to which version of the game you play, 32 or 64bit. In my case, 64bit.
STEP 04
Right after that, select ‘Direct3D 8/9′. ReShade will ask if you wish to download a collection of effects/shaders from their github, click YES.
After the download is completed a little window will pop up asking which effects you want to install. I just keep everything selected and hit OK.
You have the option to not install everything, but keep in mind that when you download a preset it might not look as the original one as it might require one of the effects you didn’t install.
You can close the installer after this.
STEP 05
If you don’t have any presets to install, just jump to step 06.
Presets come just as a .ini file. You just have to put them in the game’s installation path, that being C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin (or wherever your game is installed), the same path you installed ReShade.
You can just open the game after you put the downloaded presets in its folder and enjoy its perks.
STEP 06
The game might freeze while opening it, after all there’s a bunch of new effects to load with it now. It’s just on the first moment, tho. DON’T WORRY.
Hit Shift + F2 to open ReShade’s in-game UI. A little tutorial will welcome you to their tool, just follow it CAREFULLY.
*RESHADE 3.2.2+ ONLY*
With the release of RS 3.2.2 new options were added to its installer. Now after downloading the shaders from github, a button called Edit ReShade Settings appears, click on it.
1) By clicking the [...] button on presets, you’re able to select and load the presets you have already downloaded. The game folder will open, making it easier for you to place the .ini file in it without having the trouble to navigate there. 2) You may do the same for the Screenshots Path option. I, for example, created a folder called ss on my desktop and selected it, that way my screenshots are saved there instead of the game/bin folder. 3) If you’re a new ReShade user, I DO NOT recommend turning on the Skip Tutorial option. You need it, trust me.
Now you can play with the effects and create your own presets and how many you want to, set specific keys to toggle on/off specific effects, etc. Enjoy!

Notes: for DOF to work, edge smoothing and post processing (not really) has to be turned off. You can replace that with FXAA (lighter) and/or SMAA (heavier) from ReShade settings.

3.0.7 update: with this new update, one of pictureamoebae’s tips about reordering the effects gets even better. Now you don’t have to keep reordering everytime you open the game or change something. ReShade will store the order of techniques regardless of whether they are enabled or not (read more here).

2025 update: Many presets still strictly use the 3.0.8 or 3.4.1 versions of reshade, which if you download today many of the shaders might not work as intended since it’s downloading their newer versions from github, with the link below you’ll learn how to grab the shaders released for those specific versions!
