"So how old are you again?"

Jay was perched upon his counter top with a bowl of popcorn in his lap. He had been mindlessly popping each piece in his mouth with little realization that he had dazed out looking at the little puddle of spilled milk on the ground. He couldn’t be bothered to clean it up, so he had let it stay there with the intention of letting it dry on it’s own. That was earlier in the day. He lifted his head up and pointed it in the direction of his friend but his eyes were still settled on the puddle because, for some reason, he couldn’t look away from it. He was too stuck in his own dazed feeling. “As many times as Jiwon has fucked women this year... and it’s only February.” He paused, finally letting his eyes fall in his friend with a small cheeky smile. “24.”

「sleep on me❢」 status: accepting

「🔅」Partying was something that Bitnan was always curious of but never really explored. He wanted to though. Deeply, desperately, he wanted to have friends that would invite him out and spend the entire night together, drinking, dancing and – well, whatever else one does at a party, honestly the male had barely any idea and chose not to assume anything just because he saw something in a film or drama. The only thing was – for the longest time he had nobody who could even remotely resemble a party friend. Until he met the guy working at a 7-11 store he frequented after one of his jobs. He didn’t remember what it was that made them talk, it had to be something really trivial but for Bitnan a conversation with him was enough to render a person eligible for the title of ‘friend’ (though he’d deny it, truth was, he was slightly desperate.)

It took them some time till Jinhwan finally kind of accepted him as a more than just a nosy customer, but in the end Bitnan managed to weasel himself into a sort-but-not-quite close relationship with the other. Enough at least to once, once, get invited to go with him to a party. There was some talk that he was filling in for someone but the redhead was far to ecstatic that his wish would finally be granted that he didn’t really pay much attention to details.

The party was… well a lot to take in, if he were to be honest. But it was definitely fun. Wild fun. But it was quite exhausting. He didn’t mind it, not really, it was just that at some point near the morning hours he really felt tired. So did the others around, some already opting to sleep whenever but he wasn’t able to do so. He was the Sun and whenever he saw his little phantom rise up, any sleepiness he might’ve felt disappeared, leaving the young male in a state of a disastrous migraine until dark came so he could sleep. 

That of course didn’t apply to Jinhwan and as far as Bitnan could tell one moment the two of them were talking and the next, the man slowly closed his eyes and rested his head on the redhead’s shoulder falling asleep nearly instantly. It was – surprising to say the least, but in his heart of hearts, Bitnan was actually jumping up and down with joy. Didn’t that mean that the other trusted him enough to fall asleep and show his vulnerable side? It surely did and for that reason alone, the young male remained still only slightly manipulating his body temperature to keep the other warm and pleasant during his sleep.

junsu wasn’t good at a lot of social things, but over the last year he had been getting better at telling when someone has something on their mind. even before if he knew he would ignore it, but in order to be a proper social human that meant making sure his friends were okay. thought he couldn’t say he cared nor could he say that he didn’t. it was always one of those things where if someone wanted to talk to him about it he would listen and if they didn’t then so be it. normally he didn’t mind the quite becasue quite was his thing and painting was just a pass time he always did, but when he looked over that the canvas of the other he thought that maybe something was on his mind. often people didn’t know that things could be expressed through what they were doing, but he was so therapist. those words that left his mouth wasn’t to get him to talk about what was on his mind but just to ensure that if he wanted to he could. nodding his head he let the yellow paint drip off his brush before setting it back down.  junsu was a fan of darker things and while his painting was filled with yellow and orange there was still a passing darkness to it, but only if you had an eye to it.  ‘   nope.  ‘   he shook his head.   ‘   this one you can have.  ‘   / @gvniuskid ( taken from here )

Jay stared at the other’s painting with a tilt of his head as if he was trying to interpret. He could pretend that art was his thing, but it really wasn’t. The only thing he enjoyed was the colors and how they were splattered among the canvas aesthetically. “Sign it first.” As the words left him, his feet carried him over to it just so that he could manage to paint a little blue heart at the corner of it. Strangely enough, it satisfied him more than he had suspected. “Next to this.” It was almost strange how two men of very little words could come together and have a peaceful interaction that held just enough warmth from their friendship to keep them afloat. Junsu’s words did resonate with him though. His eyes did the smiling for him and he wanted to thank him for it, but he couldn’t manage it. The apathy in his body prevented it and so all he could muster was a small heart at the bottom of the male’s picture. That was enough for now.  “Can I borrow a shirt?” Eyes peering at the mess he managed on himself and his hands -- “...and your shower?”

Sure, expression wasn’t one of his strong suits when it came to his voice or tone of voice but his actions could be read a lot louder. He had disregarded the paintbrush given to him earlier and had slabbed on colors of black and blue with hits of red hiding in small crevices. He had been fighting with his sister again about going to medical school. He outright refused due to the fact that he didn’t want their parents going into more debt than they already were with her bills. He knew she wanted more for him instead of just being an employee at a 7/11 but, quite frankly, he didn’t mind and he enjoyed it. Even so, the conversation always leaves him feeling quite hurt which was only expressed in the colors on the canvas. He hadn’t even realized he was doing it and he hadn’t told Junsu anything at all. It was just a pleasant afternoon with a quiet painting session. He blinked as if coming out of a dream and turned his head to look at his friend with paint all over his hands and somehow on his cheek. “Yeah.” What more could he say to it. Looking back at the picture, he inspected it with a growing pain in his chest and left it as it was. His arms fell to his sides and turned back to see what the other had made. “I’ll auction yours off.”

   If anyone could easily break the peace and sweet silence, it’d be Jiwon, and without hesitation. After all, why waste precious time bored and alone at home when you could be an ass and show up at a friends house to crash for a day? At least Jiwon let Jinhwan know ahead of time before he just showed up at your apartment. Not like it being two floors down was very far but he needed to stop somewhere first. So as his fist beat against that still fixture rapidly, he’d balance a large freshly out the oven pie of pizza in his other.

   ❝Hey! Open up. Foods here!❞ Jiwon knew his voice carried, perks of his occupation. A step back taken as he glanced down to the box… half wanting to just start eating right now but trying his best to be patient. At least until the door opened, his smile spreading along those features quickly, as he stepped up and waved. Stepping past the threshold and your tiny figure without waiting for an invitation in. ❝Did you get it going?? Let’s bet on who wins today.❞ A B-line taken to your kitchen to see what he could steal to drink with the pizza. ❝You think this is going to be enough? We should order some more food.❞

Jiwon let him know when he was half asleep on his futon with his jeans at his thighs and his shirt lifted just below his pecs. He had been in the process of changing out of his clothes when sleep called him half-way through and he was on the verge of completely passing out. This always seemed to happen when he turns the heater up a little too high. His arm had fallen off to the side so his knuckles could graze the wooden floor with his phone lightly held in his palm. A long yawn passed through him as he stared up at the ceiling. He didn’t know how long he had been there because before long Jiwon was at his door. He inhaled deeply through his nose and groaned as he attempted to rub at his eye and sit up at the same time. He ended up poking his eye out and slumping over again. Another groan. 

He did eventually manage to get up off the futon and pull himself together. He straightened out his clothes - well, really, he pulled up his pants and let his over-sized shirt lay limp to the side to reveal his shoulder and cover most of his hands with his sleeves. The smell of the pizza hit his nose the moment he opened the door and his friend walked passed him. He slammed the door shut and followed the smell of pizza like he was hypnotized. “Get, what? Who?” His voice lost in a daze as he followed his friend into the kitchen and not-so-slyly stole the pizza box away to open it and fiendishly tear through a piece. Patience wasn’t his virtue. “You should have gotten fried chicken too. You hate me.” Of course, the last part was purely from wanting to be a sleepy brat with a mouth full of pizza. He did mumble a thank you somewhere as he moved back to the living room with the box to turn on his Wii U and get the Mario Kart game started.

“I can’t help it, you look…” Hanbin stares at the other brandishing one of his ties from out of clear custom case. He couldn’t help but to think that a bow tie would suit Jay more, so much better than the tie thats length falls just barely to the top of his belt buckle anyway. “Like you’re trying to sell mattresses, and it just ain’t working out.” He reached out to push his fingers through the other’s hair, only stopping to take a small bit of that pomade he kept at the end of that case in a neat row, and rubbing a bit of it between his fingers before they’re back at work. “But, wait, wait. Here, look,  when you wear a tie like that, you gotta show ‘em you mean business,” he couldn’t help but to smile a bit as he sculpted Jay’s long hair to part at the other side, showing more of his face in that wide floor length mirror. “You’re damn cute as hell, who’s gunna burn through some stocks now, huh?,” he cocked his head to the side a bit to give his friend’s new look a once over, pulling a black suit jacket from off the hanger to rest on the others shoulders. “I mean like really set that shit on fire.”  He slapped his hands together, raising an eyebrow, holding up those fake hand guns. “Cock your guns, Bond.”

Of course, he could have looked a lot worse. It wasn’t that Hanbin’s style didn’t suit him nor was it the fact his hair was pushed back for once because he truly found himself very ravishing. It was mostly due to the fact that he had the buttoned-up shirt pushed so far down into the slacks that it reached close to his knees; not to mention that he had been forced to roll the pant legs up so they wouldn’t drag across what he had hoped was a clean carpet. He felt like a toddler playing dress up in his father’s expensive clothes. None of this showed on his face and yet he wore the tiniest of smiles on his lips when his friend held up finger guns. He raised his hands the same way and narrowed his eyes rather playfully. “Watch out.or else I’ll trip on ya’. Pew Pew.” He pretended to fire his little handguns before attempting to walk over to his phone that was charging in the corner. He had his hands clutching the loops of the pants to keep them from sagging off while he walked. “I’ll become the manager of my own successful mattress store and you’ll rue the day you said it wasn’t working out.” He frees a hand to unlock his phone with a finger swipe. He was on call for the store; nothing yet.

It took a while for him to respond, and even when he did, it was very simple and short. Weird, he’s weird. It wasn’t mean if she was judging him on the inside, right? She was weird in some ways too, after all. The woman stood up quickly, sensing the heat radiating from the hotdog and taking it with one hand to bite it. “Thank you. Maybe you guys should sell some food edible for dogs, I bet your sales would increase a lot- not that your business is bad, just that..um…” she paused, “A-Anyways, how much for the hotdog?” 

Does she not know? He couldn’t help but blink at her like she had said something innately silly. A few ticks of a second later and he was reaching over the counter to grab a hold of her other hand and place it on the stick to hold onto. Of course, he did this on his tiptoes from the other side of the counter because he was too small otherwise to do it without effort. Once he was sure she had a secure hold on the skewer, he moved from behind the counter and disappeared through one of the isles. When he returned, he had a small bag of dog food in his arms. He stopped when he reached her and looked down at the bag before looking back at her. “Did you mean... dog.... food...?” The words of question came out of him slowly - one after another. “The non-dog food is on me.” Pause. “Sales are still tanking.”

On rare occasions did she allow people to interact with her dog, simply because he was mostly on duty and couldn’t be distracted. She blinked a few times before slowly bending down and wrapping her arms around her dog’s neck. “No…no you can’t.” Unsure of whether it was a joke or not, she stood up with a small smile. “You can’t feed him but..you can feed me! I love hot dogs.”

Jay, as always, kept a blank look on his face at her reaction to his comment. He eyed the critter she was now choking with her protectiveness and held momentary contact. There was a weird set challenge between the two on who would look away first. This wouldn’t be the first time he tried to challenge a dog. When the dog looked away, he let her words settle in as he had out-rightly ignored her without means. “Okay...” The cashier took out a long skewer and poked through the flesh of one of the hot-dogs rolling in the heated container they left them in. He blew on it with a face of neutrality and extended his arm to place it near her mouth; not once did he consider the fact that he would have to pay for this later. “...ms. make-your-dog-jealous.”

— The tilt of his head is curios, gaze not as hollow as it may be in usual cases but instead reflecting hints of amusement at the question that has been directed towards him. His chuckle is brief, low yet still melodic, head shaking and sending fluffy black strands in every direction; disarray when the motion finally comes to an end. “Just is a bit of a strong words. I guess some of us do, but I don’t. Supposedly, it depends on if you’re into that kind of stuff, right?” The inquiry is rhetorical, thus he continues. “But… I guess the answer is both yes and no? If that makes any sense at all.”

That wasn’t exactly the thrilling answer he had hoped for, but then again what kind of answer had he really wanted. Jay kept his gaze centered on the ghost with no real expression formed on his face. He was leaning one arm on the counter and was chewing on a finished lollipop stick. Silence blanketed the conversation with the sound of ruffling from the back room because they recently encountered a rat problem and he was tasked with trying to get rid of them. He had spent no time doing nothing about it. “Yeah, I guess.” Jay shrugged accepting it as it was. The front of the store dinged  but the door barely opened. It was more rats, he assumed. “Can I touch you? I figure I should do it every time you come in.”
