Thinking about how 3 woman entered the Blood Rite, 2 of them won the whole thing, magic was used, the Daglan created the Illyrians from the Cauldron, and I’m supposed to believe that the Illyrian plot isn’t going anywhere?!

I’m just gonna ask straight up because it’s hard to keep up with everything about the last week😅, but is it true that one nesta account wasn’t genuine? I always thought that they were but then I heard they were being friends with e/riels. If they were genuine, I feel bad for the girl being blocked over a misunderstanding but with what oristian did no one can tell who is a friend and who isn’t.

She was genuine. She just isn’t all about gwynriel the way the rest of us are and she has different opinions on the book series than some of us! Everyone is allowed to have difference of opinions. My issue came with how it was handled but her and I already talked about that and (regardless of how Elriels feel) we had the conversation privately and that’s all it needs to be.

Katie fucked all of us over, and instead of all of us joking and laughing about how big of a fucking dickhead asshole she is it turned into something it never should’ve been.

How I feel being in this fandom

My thoughts on what has been revealed:

1. What Katie did was absolutely wrong. Not only to the artists but to fellow commissioners and others in the fandom. I also need people to remember that some are good at hiding things from others. Sometimes it takes time for *all* things to come to light and some of this information a lot of us are only learning about recently.

2. No one is or has been protecting Katie. In fact, I know a few who have also called her out but somehow that isn't being talked about. Also, if you knew about her behavior over the years, but stayed silent, how are you any better?

3. Looping a group of people together based on ONE person's actions is NOT OKAY. Calling that one person and their behavior out is fine but don't group people together when you don't even know the full story.

4. While others are using this as performative outrage against a group of people, our side has helped take care of the issue(s) BEFORE this mess even made it to Tumblr.

5. Blocking people is NOT harassment/bullying. It was literally created for the purpose of blocking anyone who you don't agree with, like their content, any number of reasons.

6. Artists should ALWAYS be respected and paid. Their time is valuable and should be properly compensated for it.

There was a lot that Katie did in private chats that I (and others) told her not to do. Again, because I believe that everyone should live in their corner of the internet in peace. I cannot control what she does in her free time. (And trust, 8/10 she was being told to not poke the bear. But she didn't listen.)

The situation has been resolved. Which is the ONLY thing that matters. But man, finding out some more details over the last few days as been more eye opening on how fucked this girl is. And how a lot of us got played in the process.

Katie has been in this fandom for years, I know a lot of people didn't like her. (Shit my own best friend didn't like her) but Katie is a very manipulative person. Whenever she was confronted about her behavior, she always pulled a "my mental health is so bad right now," "I'm just going through a lot." that made it hard, especially someone like me who extends my kindness to people who do not deserve it. Even when everything in me is telling me not to. I never want someone to feel alone. (Something that anyone who knows me, will say I do and I need to work on it)

Katie has hurt a lot of people over the years. And her behavior is inexcusable.

A lot of you would have a much better time in this fandom if you blocked more people.

I don’t see 90% of the drama because I block every single person whose interpretation of these books is abhorrent to me. So that way when they inevitably behave in some way that is equally abhorrent, I don’t see it and I don’t need to respond to it.

Show me the receipts. Oh wait. you can’t, because those who actually knew what was going on, had already been in direct contact with the artists and paid them before this exploded on Tumblr.

The only reason some of you didn't know that is because people made assumptions without having the full story.

We know exactly who took care of the artists, those people may not want credit but I’m not letting anyone else who didn’t spent a single cent take credit for it either. Artist were paid before any post was made. No one’s post prompted payment, it happened BEFORE.

I have no issue with people sharing their own experiences with someone who treated them like shit. Guess what? She treated a lot of us the same way. That's exactly why many of us cut ties with her over a year ago.

What we're not going to do is fabricate stories about people you don't know, make accusations based solely on guilt by association, and erase the fact that members of this community stepped up to make sure the artists were paid. Those are facts, not opinions, and no amount of rewriting the story is going to change that.

The irony in all of this is watching people get manipulated by the very same crowd that has spent years creating burner accounts, who brag about stalking and being bullies. The only reason some of these Elriels suddenly wanted to play nice was for ulterior motives. And now they want to play the victim? Give me a break. Yes, Katie was a piece of shit. What she did to artists was inexcusable, and people have every right to speak on their own experiences. But running straight into the arms of people who have spent years contributing to toxicity in this fandom wasn't the answer. If this was really about holding Katie accountable, they could've done that within their own community. Instead, we all watched them lump us together, make assumptions about people they'd never spoken to, and push a narrative before they had the facts. Only after blocked did the story suddenly become, "It was never about all of you” We read the orginal posts and ones still following it, they absolutely lumped everyone together and made assumptions without any clarification. Don’t change the story now.

They never wanted our side. Any story that paints gwynriels to be the bad guys, they will run with it. Meanwhile they are bragging and celebrating about harassing a fucking candle company because of a video they didn’t like and got it taken down. GO OUTSIDE AND ROLL IN DIRT.
