Here’s the thing
Sometimes a piece of media is empowering because it’s a wish fulfilment fantasy about a world where your pain doesn’t exist anymore, or a universe filled with potential for people like you (for whatever values of “pain” and “like you” are relevant to this discussion).
And sometimes a piece of media is empowering, or at least comforting, because it shows other people who are suffering just like you are, so your emotions are validated and you feel a little bit less lonely.
And both of these things are incredibly important. Neither one should take away from the other. There is nothing morally or aesthetically superior about one or the other. There is and should always be space for both types of fiction to exist.
Some aliens kidnap Bakugou and Todoroki on their way to the convenience store at 3 AM in order to observe them and study human behavior.
Bakugou: *doesn’t really care because he’s too busy yelling at Todoroki and blaming him for making them go out to get instant noodles at 3 in the morning and getting him into this situation*
Todoroki: *calmly explains that he was hungry and it’s not like he forced Bakugou to go*
Bakugou: *yells some more about how he doesn’t trust Todoroki to do any shopping by himself since he wouldn’t buy anything of actual nutritional value*
The aliens: ...is this some sort of human mating ritual we don’t know about?
Want to send in a fix request but first what are your rules? What are you ok or not ok writing? Don’t want send a request if it is something you are uncomfortable with x
Hi! Just updated my fic request post for you 😊 Honestly feel free to request whatever. I’m okay with mostly all tropes/dynamics/prompts. I won’t be triggered by any request, just won’t end up fulfilling it if I don’t want to write a certain topic.
Imagine a dabihawks fic where Touya is an angel who is bored of being stuck in heaven and wants to go down and visit Earth instead. He is allowed to go down to earth for a year to observe what has become of humanity.
He is fascinated by the superhero society he has walked into. The world was now split into heroes and villains, the influential traces of heavenly grace and hellish intent intertwined into one chaotic yet functional society.
There he can’t help but be entranced by the carefree and sardonic Takami Keigo, the winged hero. With wings the shade of rubies, Touya can’t help but like the way they look against his large bright blue ones.
He know he should stop seeking him out. Keigo makes him weak. Keigo makes him feel human in ways that he shouldn’t. Especially when they belong to different planes of existence. Especially when they would never end up together. Especially when leaving his little bird would shatter his proverbial heart into a million pieces, until nothing but dust remains instead.
Open to Fic Requests
I know I post a few headcanons and stuff here and there, but I’m currently taking requests to write oneshots and longer fics for mainly MHA and JJK pairings.
Send me a pairing and a prompt/trope and I’ll do my best to deliver as quickly as possible!
Here’s the link to my fic request form: https://bit.ly/3ahi02Y . You can submit anonymously or you can request a shoutout from me when I’m done with your request!
I’m comfortable with most topics/tropes, including MCD, gore or graphic violence, but I tend to stay away from writing about romanticized incest, bestiality or pedophilia or non-con between the main characters (non-con is okay if it’s integral to the plot).
Fics will probably be posted here (and on AO3, more details to come soon!)
Bakugou: birthday parties are stupid
Also Bakugou (on Todoroki’s birthday): * wakes up extremely early in the morning, threatens Deku with bodily harm to get him to take Todoroki out and keep him busy until the evening, spends the whole day creating a beautiful two-tiered mocha cake with fudge filling & espresso frosting (contrary to Todoroki’s entire aesthetic, he isn’t a fan of strawberry-themed cakes), gets all of the other class-A students to decorate the living room and set everything up for the best birthday party his boyfriend’s ever had *
Okay but I think Todoroki calling his boyfriend Bakugou “Kit-Kat” whenever the former’s super sleepy or super drunk would be the cutest thing ever (and yes, Bakubae would screech like a hyena every time he calls him that)
Superior concept: Bakugou who’s loud and abrasive with everyone but is soft af with Todoroki, and Todoroki who’s polite with everyone but is sassy af with Bakugou.
Katsuki’s Stress-Baking Habits - TDBK headcanon
After years of being a married pro-hero and attending therapy once a week, Katsuki has moved on from his past uncontrollably abrasive nature and has found a new hobby for when he’s stressed out (apart from getting intimate with Shouto, of course. He can’t seem to control his ever-present attraction for his pretty husband even after three years of marriage): baking. When he’s pent up, he tends to make a LOT of baked goods at once. Sometimes it’s two dozen brownies, sometimes it’s two big cakes, sometimes it’s three dozen cookies.
It’s a good thing Shouto has a huge sugar tooth and a penchant for anything and everything Katsuki makes in the kitchen.
does anyone else let themselves read a “goodnight fanfic” as a little reward but you accidentally end up reading a 76k anthology and stay up until the wee hours of the morning because you can’t sleep without knowing what happens
I thank the lord every single day that todobakudeku are heroes because could you imagine just how UNBEATABLE they would be if they were villains?
The hero society would go POOF (someone write this tho)
Imagine a todobakudeku dinner scene with Todoroki’s family where Shouto and Endeavor are on relatively decent terms while Midoriya and Bakugou are constantly glaring at Enji and being extremely passive-aggressive (they’re flanking him on both sides like protective bodyguards) since they know what Shouto had been through because of him and they sure as hell don’t forgive him for it even if Shouto does.
(Yep, they’re always protecting their pretty boy 🥺🥺)
Revealing Lock Screens and Obscured Feelings (MHA imagine - Todoroki x Bakugou)
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Rating: General Audiences
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x Shouto Todoroki
***************
Ever since they attended remedial classes together after failing their Provisional Hero License exam, Katsuki Bakugou and Shouto Todoroki managed to forge a friendship that Katsuki would deny vehemently if asked.
However, Shouto knew better.
It was evident in the way Katsuki’s insults for him turned fonder and milder. In the way he always came up beside him to spar whenever they had the chance, in an attempt to get better and stronger together. In the way he made sure they spent a lot of time studying and finishing homework together. In the way Katsuki started setting aside food for him on days he forgot to eat on time.
“You asshole, you changed my phone’s lock screen again! When the fuck did you even take this picture?” Katsuki yelled, his palm clenched in a fist as if trying not to turn him to dust where he stood.
Shouto looked up, an all-too-innocent glint in his eyes, trying not to laugh at the blond’s venomous expression. He liked to steal Katsuki’s phone from time to time and change the lock screen to anything he would absolutely despise. Random cats, pictures of their classmates, unflattering pictures of Katsuki...you get the point.
Surprisingly enough, Katsuki let him. He never explicitly told him to stop, and he never changed his phone’s password either (his password is All Might’s birthday, and he calls Midoriya the nerd, what a hypocrite). His murderous threats weren’t all that convincing anymore either— considering he never acted out on them — and that only served to encourage him further.
“I’m going to kill you, IcyHot-“
“No, you won’t. You’re training to be a hero, and I don’t think murdering me would look too good on your record.”
“Oi, shut up, candy cane! No one likes a fucking smartass. You’re lucky you make a decent sparring partner, otherwise-“
Yep, they were friends.
**
“Okay, that’s it, I’m going to take a shower. All of these fucking English proverbs are making me feel icky all over,” Katsuki exclaimed with a loud groan, putting his pencil down after they had spent a few hours working on the homework Present Mic had assigned that day.
Shouto only hummed in response as he looked up blearily and watched Katsuki leave the room as he idly twirled his pencil in his hand.
Suppressing a groan as he rolled his shoulders back to ease the tension in them, he set his pencil down and looked around the room to find something better to occupy his attention.
He perked up visibly when he noticed Katsuki had left his phone on the table. It had been more than a month since he’d last messed around with his lock screen, and now was his chance.
Looking at the door tentatively to make sure his explosive friend wouldn’t just walk in and catch him red-handed, he grabs the phone, quickly wondering what he should change it to this time.
Before he could arrive at a conclusive idea, he froze in this tracks as he took in Katsuki’s current lock screen, his mind stuttering to a halt as he processed what he was seeing.
Wait.
What.
He had to be hallucinating.
Maybe those proverbs had finally rendered him insane.
It was an image of the two of them, one that Camie had taken during one of their joint dinners they had been to after they had received their licenses. It was the only picture they had taken together.
Shouto could feel his heart racing a little faster as he just stared at the picture, his thumb stroking at the picture of the man he was in love with. He’d known how he felt about Katsuki when the picture was taken. That much was clear by the small, soft smile he adorned in the image. Katsuki, on the other hand, had his signature scowl plastered on his face, but his eyes seemed brighter. Softer.
Even though he had no idea why Katsuki would choose to put this picture as his lock screen, especially since there was no way he could ever love him, he couldn’t bring himself to try and change it.
Loud conversation belonging to Eijiro and Katsuki suddenly came from outside the room, alerting Shouto with a start. He frantically placed the phone exactly where Katsuki had left it and sat down at the exact same time the door opened.
“What’s the fuck’s the matter with you?” Katsuki asked, squinting at him. “Your face matches the left side of your hair.”
“Oh, uh- I’m okay. Just having trouble with the proverbs, you know.”
Katsuki walked over to where Shouto was sitting. Shouto fought the urge to squirm, feeling Katsuki surveying his work right over his shoulder. “Can’t even get this right, can you? Tch, I’ll help you with you after we grab dinner from downstairs. It’s late. Come on.”
Grabbing his phone, Katsuki quickly unlocked it to type something and closed it again, making no comment on the lock screen Shouto had seen.
He wanted to ask about it. Maybe it had been a dare? He didn’t want to get his hopes up, but maybe he was more important to Katsuki than the other let on. He didn’t know, and he so badly wanted to know.
“Oi, don’t space out on me, Halfie! Come on, get up, I’m not your babysitter!” Katsuki growls.
“Sorry,” Shouto stood up with a small placating smile, trying not to let the fondness he had for the other show. Katsuki often reminded him of a disgruntled kitten. Not that he would ever tell him that to his face. He did value his life. “Let’s go.”
“Tch, whatever.”
Yep, Katsuki and Shouto definitely were friends.
And sometimes, Shouto wished that someday they would be more.
