Guys I just started playing Village for the first time on my switch after watching Nicole Tompkins do play throughs with Maggie and the rest of the cast for the past few years… I just finished the first boss battle, and I’m actually genuinely a little bit sad after killing Lady D! I looked back at the corpse and was like “aw😢” big props to Maggie for the work she did on the character and extra lil interviews she’s done, because it’s not very often that I genuinely feel sorry for a villain like this. If anything, it just makes me more intrigued about what experiences she’s had that made her this way. I really want her backstory now, because she must have gone through so much as a human to end up the way she did, because I truly don’t believe she was born evil.

God, what a fantastic character and villain!

Update: I finished House Beneviento! I’m colossally stupid though, spent an hour looking for the key to get into her part of the game… and then couldn’t figure out how to outsmart the massive creepy baby thing (scariest thing I’ve ever seen btw) the first time it chased me, and then died about 12 times just trying to get into the freaking lift at the end of that section😂

Bottom line, though, killing Donna was almost as sad as killing Alcina, especially taking Angie to sell! When you think about how shit Donna’s life had been too, you do feel a bit sorry for her.

Update #2: I finished Moreau’s section today, and although I did manage to finish the boss battle the fastest out of all three so far, the reservoir confused the FUCK out of me bro! I spent half the time walking around going “I’ve got no idea where I am”😂 and the map doesn’t help in this situation either lmaoooo

I think actually killing Moreau was fairly easy (maybe because it’s on the easiest mode since it’s my first time playing) and there was LOADS of stuff for me to collect… thank god because my ammo supply was running super low😂

Also, yet again, I feel so bad for Moreau… like his little notes where he’s talking about putting the Cadou into those people’s tummies and spelling everything wrong 😭😭😭 and him going “I’m the best! Watch me mama” and “I’ll do better next time mama”… that shit HURTED!!! Bless.

Update 3: I’ve finished with Heisenberg (why is the factory so fucking confusing wtf) and the Chris section, and I’m heading into the Miranda final boss fight. Y’all, this game continues to astound me. The design, the art style, and the characters and storyline… it’s so good, and I can’t wait to play it all over again when I’m done!

And I’m done… I’m in absolute awe. Well done, Capcom, well done.
