OKAY SO PROMARE RIGHT. promare is a pretty new anime movie by studio trigger that I have fallen in love with and seen approximately 12 times (it’s really more than that but as far as everyone in my life knows it’s still 12 ekhbjehfbes) LET ME SEE IF I CAN SUMMARIZE IT WITHOUT SPOILERS OR GETTING INTO WHY I HAVE SEEN IT THAT AMOUNT OF TIMES BC REALLY. that much can be explained by the fact that I got sad about life and the state the world is in and then Went Feral buying tickets to this feel-good movie because it filled me with the intense optimism that Love Wins After All And The Whole World Is Really Gonna Turn Out Okay, HuhIn as few words as possible, it’s a mech anime about futuristic firefighters, magic arson, and himbo rights!! The animation is gorgeous as expected, the colors they use throughout the movie are SCRUMPTIOUS, the soundtrack is fantastic, and all of the protagonists are so lovable oh my god!! I promise it is a thousand percent worth watching if it’s showing in your area- they were really weirdly selective about the locations they showed it in originally, and I was EXTREMELY lucky that it was showing in my town during the original showing period, but it’ll be showing again across the United States on the 8th of December with some bonus content for a special event called Promare Redux!! If you happen to live in the States like me, and if the trailer, my personal favorite song from the soundtrack, and Lio Fotia’s killer aesthetic strike your fancy, it’s definitely something worth looking into!!

(So aside from my inability to keep schedules, I'm going to keep trying for the Tuesday and/or Thursday update schedule, even though finals week is next week. My most concerning final is in 2D animation, which takes a lot of my desire to draw and leaves none left for the blog most days. Mostly, I'm just sorry for y'all on the other side of the blog, because I know how annoying/saddening it must be to see my only content being text posts apologizing for my inactivity. My formal goal is to update again Thursday, and I'm hoping for three asks done but again it's all in how I divide my time and if I have the energy to make quality content.)
