Sticks & Stones..., More like broken bones.

Whoever said "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me", They lied. Words do hurt. No matter how people try to cover up the issue and tell you to let it go, you never do. Mean slurs and words can traumatize a person for the rest of their life. Saying "Faggot" for instance, It is a mean slang for the word "Homosexual."  Retard is a mean slang for Mentally ill. People throw those words and many more into their daily vocabulary knowing that it could hurt some people. They don't care. When you are gay and walk by people talking in the halls and they kid around with their buddies and say stuff like "Bro, you are a fag" You think to yourself "I am gay, is it wrong to be?" All I can say is hold you head up high and walk away. Don't let somebody's ignorance, hatred, and stupidity hurt you. Their are people who love you. Just remember this one thing - I am who I am and I don't need your approval to be me because I love the person I am and you can't take me down.

I may not be Handsome, I may not be smart, I may not live the same way as you I may not like the same things as you. I may be be gay, I may have different opinions then you. Does this make me a bad person? Does it give you a pass to treat me like I am nothing? Does it make you feel Better about yourself to pick on me and hate me just because I am different? Well I want to tell you how it makes me feel when you treat me the way that you do. It makes me feel less like a human and more like a dog. It makes me feel like I don’t want to go on with this life because I am not worth it. It makes me feel like my thoughts and feelings don’t matter. Often times I have contemplated suicide over all the hate that you show. I have even attempted a few times. I have been scared of what you are going to say or do to me next. I have even avoided places that I know that you will be just to avoid you. Well I am writing this letter to tell you my thoughts now. I am no longer going to stand for the way you treat me. I am NOT going to let you get me down. I am NOT going to contemplate suicide because of your hurtful and hateful words. I will NOT cry over the nasty things you and your friends say to me. Why don’t you look deep into yourself and see why you do this? Why don’t you find out what is causing u to be like this? If you ever want to talk and figure this out I am willing to overlook the way that you have treated me and become friends. If you apologize and change your ways. I am willing to treat you with respect and Kindness. Like I said I cannot take the negative way you have treated me in the past. I look forward to being friends! Thank you for understanding the way that I feel and I hope that we can take care of this matter between us.

Remembering Trayvon Martin

Trayvon Martin, a boy shot for carrying a bag of skittles at night. That is what it seems like to me. I am sickened to hear that a man was let free to be able to kill again because he claimed the incident to be "Self Defense." This makes me think about our justice system. This is the ultimate act of hate and it NEEDS to be stopped. I have no respect for people who think it's okay for a life to be taken by another human. This case makes me scared to walk around day or night without feeling like someone is going to harm me. Please everyone be safe. -Max Mosier

Love, what is it really? It has been deemed as the greatest thing in the world; the most powerful force that can manipulate the strongest of men. It has been defined as a supernatural and altruistic bond between two people. Love is a true bond that cannot be broken by time or space, color or creed, or even sexual orientation. Love cannot be truly defined because it is not quite understood. Due to love not being fully understood, society has tried to make it understandable: a man and a woman. But what society does not understand is that love reaches far beyond just a man and a woman. It can be a man and a man, a woman and a woman, or between whomever where there is an altruistic connection. Love does not stop at the superficial. Love seeps into the being of the person it has come to, and aids them for the fight to express it. This fight is for equal representation of this love; and because we have love on our side we will win.
