Contrary to the belief of most everyone, she harbored no hatred for him any longer; it had faded centuries ago. The years of depressing memories of her in the Underworld were tied most closely to him and that was the true reason for her avoidance, despite how she even made it seem. At this very moment, she was undeniably anxious about giving the apology, but the need to formally admit that she was wrong overrode any other emotion. As his hand rested on her face, she instinctively leaned into it prior to realizing what she was doing and withdrawing. While doing so, she explained, “I spoke with Styx earlier today and she basically lead me to realize my error.”
For a moment she leaned into his touch, and then just as suddenly she withdrew. Fingers curling around empty air, he lowered his hand to his side once more, trying to appear nonplussed by her rejection. "Yes I spoke to Styx as well, she is very dedicated to us, despite our current equal playing field." Knowing it was unfair to keep her waiting for his reaction to his apology any longer, he turned and moved to where a bottle sat, pouring himself a drink with his back to her. "Your apology is appreciated, my love," he spoke to her as he poured, "but it is unnecessary. I knew full well what I was doing when I chose to take you threw that field, and while having Zeus agree with me was an added bonus," he continued, turning back to face her once more with glass in hand. He shrugged, taking a sip of the liquor. "It was not my deciding factor."
