And The Truth Comes Out | Shi&Hadley | Private
At the naked comment, Hadley blinked blankly at Shiloh for a before giving him a slight glare. “Do I look like I want that much attention? No! Plus I only do that if I’m really drunk enough, which thankfully, hasn’t happened in quite a long tie so.” She said as she flipped him the bird, smiling a bit to show him she wasn’t that angry. She then bit her lip when Shiloh scolded her and gave him an innocent smile. “Different! My canoodling life doesn’t involve anyone but me! You on the other hand.” Hadley said pointing her finger back. She put in her order of french toast, bacon and an omelette, she looked back at Shiloh and shrugged. “I’m hungry.” Before giving the menus back to their waitress. She watched the other make his coffee and chewed on her lip. “Oh, I think you did, I might not have been paying attention though so.” Hadley said as she went through her head as to how to even bring it up. “Just, uh, just curious.” She said before staring momentarily at Shiloh. She didn’t want him to get hurt, especially after what happened with Torrey, Hadley wasn’t sure if she could take Shiloh going back to his old ways if this ‘Gabe’ guy screwed it up.
“Well just because my canoodling involves someone doesn’t mean you can talk about yours just because your canoodling doesn’t!” Shiloh said before he burst into a fit of laughter. Hearing the order, Shiloh just shook his head. “You eat more than I do and you’re smaller than I am, how that has happened is forever going to puzzle me.” Shiloh said before grabbing his cup of coffee with both hands, cradling it in his palms as he took a sip from it. Placing it down, Shiloh quirked a brow as Hadley began acting strange as he mentioned the job, and the subject just seemed weird to being with. Shiloh really thought that he had told her that before and why she was asking now and looking so odd about it, it made Shiloh curious. “You don’t sound just curious. Why’re you asking?”
“At least you know it’s just me and don’t have to look said person in the face when the time comes and I meet the guy! Do you know how awkward that could be, like, oh hello nice to meet you while I’m thinking, ‘Oh you did this to my best friend a couple nights ago’?” Hadley said back to him as she laughed, though never realizing how loud her voice went as she saw a few of the other diners looking at them, ducking her head as she tried to calm herself down. Once calm, Hadley shrugged as she caught the waitress and ordered herself a cup of coffee as well. Turning her attention back to Shiloh, she chewed on her lip when she heard Shiloh’s question. “What do you mean I don’t sound just curious? What does just curious sound like?” She asked, fully knowing she was trying to avoid the actual reason, at least for now.
