clearly I haven’t been active lately and I underestimated just how much I would be working. also my laptop is shitty and I can’t use it while it’s being charged and the battery just sucks so until I get a new laptop, this blog is on SEMI-HIATUS. I will try to be on when I can!

it ain’t often that the mathletes have a girl on their team. to be frank, cady is the first in, like, the history of the world to be part of their group. but she fits right in and they all get along superb, so it ain’t like he’s gonna complain about it. there’s just one thing that always leave him questionin’ ( cause race is curious and needs to know everything ).

“so, you and samuels? that’s a thing, right? does that mean he’s gonna provide us with food and water for every competition or did the one came before the other?”

her cheeks start to heat up at just the mention of her boyfriend and though the red of her face and her stuttering is probably answer enough, cady tries to gain some composure to answer her teammate. “  i- yeah, we’re a thing. definitely a thing, oh my god we’re a THING.  ”  it’s still something that sends her heart racing and she can’t help but fidget at the curious gaze that rests upon her because she just knows that the rest of the team is going to hear about her reaction and tease her for it. not that she ever would mind of course, they’re like the brothers she wished she could have had.

“  i don’t know, maybe? he’s off at college so i guess if he has time he might tag along but he did it before we were a thing. we didn’t get together until after spring fling so he was just being nice but i’ll have to ask him? i know his mom said something about sending some snacks our way for our next competition.  ”

SANTANA

❝ hey africa! ❞ pony swings behind her as santana comes to a stop near cady’s locker, arms crossed over her chest. truth be told, she didn’t have that much interest in the resident new kid but lord knows what one fresh face can cause at this school and she’d rather nip any potential uprising at the bud. establish the hierarchy and all. ❝ i don’t know whether they got halloween over there but maybe save the dora the explorer cosplay for October. ❞

there isn’t much time for her to prepare as she comes face to face with a member of the unholy trinity ( santana lopez, not someone to cross or else you’ll end up with stitches  — or at least she was told by... kurt? she can’t remember the name ). the warning immediately had her putting her defenses up, not wanting the lioness to sense her fear and attack at any wrong move she might make. “  they don’t, but i didn’t think there was anything wrong with the way i dressed?  ” cady looks down at her attire before regarding others around them and she has to bite back on the remark that she’s only ever seen the trinity wear their cheerleader uniforms around school. “  i-i’ll be sure to keep that in mind though. i’m cady by the way!  ”

Them: Cady Heron did her friends dirty, it’s a good thing she came to her senses

Me, an intellectual: this was literally Cady Heron’s first interaction with American teenagers ever. And those friends basically forced her to act like a spy on the girls they knew could destroy her new life before it even started. Yes, Cady messed up, but Janis and Damien weren’t empathetic or even sympathetic to Cady’s background and just expected her to be resistant to how The Plastics function. With such little social interaction with other high schoolers, it makes sense that she would adapt to her surroundings, especially if she innately felt like it was the only way to protect herself. Basically, Janis and Damien have no right putting all the blame on Cady and then push her away when she’s trying to apologize; it really makes them no better than anyone else.

AARON

❛ CADY HERON, ❜ aaron replies, a splitting grin sitting on his face as he leans in, pressing a gentle kiss to the tip of her nose ( still a little rosy ), then he slides off his stool to come up behind her, his arms wrapping around her middle in a familiar motion. hooking his chin over her shoulder, he watches her set down the can of sparkling water ( something he has never been particularly FOND of but most of his friends are, so he can’t and wouldn’t fault her; he prefers to stick to water though; the amount of junk food he indulges in from time to time is bad as it is  ). HE KISSES HER CHEEK.

❛ YOU CALL THAT FULL DOUCHEBAG? I think I talked some well needed sense into you, didn’t I? ❜ there is no malice to speak of behind his words & it is not his intention anyway; he doesn’t remember that night fondly even though he likes to think that their meeting in her bedroom triggered another, this time much more welcome CHANGE in her. the truth is that he liked her back then already, more than probably healthy. 

“  ACTUALLY. ”  that particular night is one that she hasn’t been able to forgive herself for. lying to her parents and her friends, objectifying aaron because that’s how she believed she would win his heart; it was so unlike her and though her friends and her boyfriend, bless their hearts, have forgiven her by now, cady couldn’t help but feel ill each time that night is brought up. shoving those less than fond memories back down, she shakes her head to correct him.

“  i was talking about the night of the spring fling? when you oh so heroically turned into a jackass in order to help me sneak in.  ”  her food long since abandoned as she turns her head with a small smile, “  though that other night was a serious wake up call too so thank you for that as well.  ”

though by now she’s witnessed how karen’s been treated by regina ( something she wholeheartedly doesn’t agree with at all and does her best to counter it in her own ways ), she’s taken aback by the fact that karen seems to have noticed what she’s doing and it makes her a bit more wary of what else she might’ve caught on to. 

“  i’m glad too karen, it’s not fair that regina takes out her anger on you and gretchen.  ”
