Premise: Scott has always been good at remembering anniversaries and going all out, although Jackson likes to pretend he doesn’t care.
Note: Honestly, I was working on another piece (far more naughty) where I was using the same reference for bodies and faces and realized that I’d have to scratch Scott’s arm to make the picture work. Problem was I liked the emotional context his hand evoked. Solution: Copy the line art and draw a separate picture (the above). That way I get to keep my cake and eat it :)

Anyone wants to give me their face claims for Strike team Alpha?
I want to draw Strike team Alpha as werewolves as per the latest Headcanon, but I am having problems with the character designs. Like, how many are there, men, woman, race? Anyone wants to help me out?
Premise: Initial lineart for an original concept of Brock Rumlow in a dream scape, in the grips of a Hydra (in the shape of many, many tentacles).
Note: I am doing a colored/shaded version of this but I wanted to post the concept now. I am gonna clean up the patterns on the tentacles. but I’ll leave that for tomorrow. I will replace this pic with the updated version when it is done.
Headcanon - STRIKE team werewolves AU, Brock Rumlow/Other(s)

Premise: Bucky Barnes is a werewolf, always has been.
Although he was born a Beta he became an Alpha during the War, mainly due to Zola's fuckery and the unrelenting stress of war. Bucky's true nature is the only reason why he survived Zola's version of the serum and Zola may have reaped the benefits but he never knew why and neither does Hydra. In the end, their ignorance is Bucky's salvation; of a sort anyway.
Hydra might be able to scramble his human mind but his wolf is an Alpha, and as an Alpha his instincts are strong. For years that part of his nature was dormant. The way the Russian used him (training the Red Room girls, his little spiderlings) kept his wolf more or less satisfied, at least for a while, but once he was transferred to Hydra his wolf started to stir, grow restless, and discontent.
They way Hydra kept him on ice for long periods of time (the world changing from one breath to the next), they way they kept him isolated when out of cryo (no connections, no pack mates to anchor himself in the present), made the Alpha in him angry. It was inevitable that the Wolf snapped one day and acted on their own.
If Hydra insist to keep the Soldier isolated, to treat him as a machine, then the Wolf would make their own connections to remind themselves that they are not. They are Lyocan, and even as their humanity is stripped from them that part always remains. Luckily Hydra always made sure that the Soldier had a support team when out on missions, giving the Wolf ample opportunity. Sometimes, although rare, someone would ping on their radar and in a moment of inattention they'd chomp down on the individual, thus infecting them. If they survived the transition they became a werewolf, bound to the Alpha.
Slowly those the Wolf bit grew in numbers and by some twist of fate they ended up as SHIELD Strike agents. When Peirce manipulated SHIELD until Strike Alpha became all Hydra agents and the designated team to support the Winter Soldier, the bitten pack members maneuvered their position until they were all on Strike team Alpha. The Soldier, stripped of his mind beyond The Mission, KNOWS them as HIS pack and works with the team with minimal 'malfunctions'.
"Minimal 'malfunctions'" because Strike team Alpha is still comprised of non-pack members and if the opportunity presents itself the non-members are culled, one by one. The team is whittled down until they are all the Wolf's Chosen except the CO, a nasty Hydra man favored by Pierce.
It takes a while but eventually even the CO bites the dust. Before they can celebrate and promote their choice, Jack Rollins, as the new Commander, Pierce has already transferred in a replacement (almost like he already had someone in line).
Brock Rumlow has just gotten the promotion of his life but he is starting to regret accepting the job. He's got the experience to make it work but no matter what he tries to do he can't make headway into the team. They are all professional when it matters but he gets the impression they hate his guts. His new 2nd definitely seem to hate him.
They still manage to get the job done which is ultimately the only thing Brock cares about but Brock gets the impression they are waiting for something.
Which, of course they are. The first time they run a mission with Winter they very much expect Brock to bite the dust. They want Rollins to be the CO. To everyone's surprise Brock doesn't die. It's not for a lack of opportunities. Mission went seriously FUBAR. Afterwards they start paying more attention to their new Commander, like they are genuinely considering vetting him as a potential pack mate.
They all test him in different ways, and Brock fares differently with each of them. Some think he might be worthwhile, others write him off. Brock's death would have been inevitable if something hadn't happened that changed everything.
Brock Rumlow ends up proving himself on a mission with Winter where he risks his life to save the life of one of the other Strike members. The normal expectation of a non-wolf Hydra agent was to sacrifice the bit player for the end goal, in this case completing the mission. None of the others had notice their pack mate in danger except Brock; he could have ignored it and no one would have been the wiser, but Brock said fuck it and saved the guy’s life.
It fundamentally changed the attitude of the rest of the Strike team so when another mission went FUBAR and Winter was finally going to take the opportunity to cull the outsider when Brock got injured the pack interfered on Brock's behalf.
This is the first time the pack actively chose their new member rather than showing up one day and realizing Winter had chomped down on someone new. Winter bites Brock instead of killing him. If he survives the transition on top of the injuries he'd already sustained the pack would finally have their final member.
Brock obviously survives in spite of grim predictions and when he wakes up he'll finally learn what is up with his goddam team. The changes will sure make for a funny dynamic though because Brock is technically the Commander of Strike team Alpha, but he is also their youngest member :D
Papa!Winter is the undisputed Alpha though and when he/they go rogue after Insight, the pack follows, more or less willingly depending on who you ask ;)
MCU Prompt - Winterbones soulmate au, James “Bucky” Barnes/Brock Rumlow
Characters: Brock Rumlow, James “Bucky” Barnes, others.
Premise: The first time Brock Rumlow gets to work with the supposedly Russian asset he realizes they are soulmates. He spends the next decade trying to protect the Soldier without people finding out about them but it's not until Insight he finds out who Winter actually is. Cue drama...

He doesn't find out the Soldier is an actual Alpha until they end up on their own during their first mission and the Alpha in the Soldier wants Brock to submit...
