you can’t claim to support minority groups. you can’t say you support people of color or the lgbt, but then proceed to vote and donate to the gop.
because in the end your actions are louder than your words. you can claim to support the lgbt all you want, but in the end you chose to support mitch and trump. you chose to try and make sure that the republican party, which has done nothing this year but:
downplay a literal insurrection they supported
pass restrictive voting laws meant to specifically target and disenfranchise black voters
pass laws banning the teaching of critical race theory in schools to keep kids from understanding how white supremacy is woven into society
pass transphobic laws including ones that prevent minors from transitioning
in some cases attempting to raise the age of “minor” to 21 specifically to keep people ages 18-20 from transitioning
loosen gun laws and pretend guns aren’t a problem when we’ve already had 267 mass shootings this year
actively struggle to have abortion rights overturned
spread conspiracy theories about the election and possibly cause more violence in the near future
and god so much fucking more that i don’t wanna think about
point is, he says all this shit about how he loves everyone and wants no harm blah blah fucking blah. nah he doesn’t. he’s doing damage control. he doesn’t do this for money? i highly doubt it, he made a lucrative career off of the laziest game design in history. in the end, things like charity and words are meaningless. he legitimately says that he thinks the gop wants to do more for black americans than any other party. yeah. sure. keep thinking that.
and in the end, all of the fans of fnaf eat up his shitty apology. because they don’t wanna feel bad about it. he donated to charity and says he loves us! great forming of parasocial relationships fnaf fandom. scott doesn’t know you. he never will. so what if he donated to charity? so do many other awful people. it doesn’t automatically make you a good person. he donated, voted for, and supported the political party seeking the basic destruction of human rights. the party that cares less about the people in poverty and more about how much more money they can funnel into their own pockets. the people who know their platform is dying, the people who know that they can only win elections by cheating, the ones who restrict voting laws so only white people can vote, the ones who cause suffering, the ones who looked on at a pandemic killing hundreds of thousands of people and doing NOTHING. the people who would spend trillions of dollars on war and not anything meaningful because war is profitable.
the democratic party isn’t great, but they’re a fucking billion times better than the gop. and when you openly support the gop and donate as much money as you can to them, you can fuck right off. you wanna stand with scott? fine. go die on the hill of a guy who made the same game several times. die on the hill of a man who is martyring himself because he voted for trump.
