Hufflepuffs as seasons
Spring Hufflepuffs
Shy smiles, warm rain showers. Loads of flowers. Rubber boots squeaking against the tiles. Warming in the sun. Rolling down the grass with friends and being covered in green, green grass stains. Laughing, truly laughing after a long time. Feeling loved and supported. The gray sky finally clearing up. Sharing sour gummies. Small forehead bops, and cute nose kisses. Ripping grass out and putting it in your friend’s lap.
Summer Hufflepuffs
Big grins with braces. Sticky ice-cream kisses. Dancing with your best friend you’ve been in love for years. Poetry - scrolls, and scrolls of poetry. Odd, funky, but loved sunglasses. Every body is a beach body. Sitting around the campfire, playing the ukulele while others sing. Taking care of your friend’s feelings. Freckles. Peeling, red skin. Laughing so much it hurts. Salt in your hair. Getting out of the water after turning wrinkly.
Fall Hufflepuffs
Collecting leaves. Wearing oversized hoodies. Getting coffee for your gang and drinking it on the stairs, sharing the stories of the summer. Red, flustered cheeks. Eyes darting, searching around the room. The wind that carries your hair around. Smelling the crisp scent of rain, leaves, and firewood. Sketching into your notebook. Warm scarfs and mulled wine. Cinnamon and pumpkins. Warm colors galore.
Winter Hufflepuffs
Candles, candles, candles! Drawing on frosted windows and snow-covered cars. Constantly having some snow behind your neck. Sharing warm cocoa with your closest. Keeping someone’s hands warm. Resting your head on someone’s shoulder. Laughing so much that you fog up the car windows. Slow-dancing in the middle of your room during a sleepover with that one person. Falling asleep on the couch with a book in your lap.
