Thursday. Or as the ravenclaw called it, day 4 of the hostage situation.
They say up defiantly against the stack of pillow and headboard, their arms crossed, and their eyes glaring at the hufflepuff with the bowl of soup in the doorway.
"You know what. I'm feeling much better, thank you so much for helping me out, you're a real pal, but I think I'd better be getting back-"
The hufflepuff didnt even acknowledge their pitiful reasonings. They continued into the room with the warm food, setting it on the table and giving the ravenclaw a happy smile.
"You're little slytherin friend asked me in divination today how you've been doing. They say they hope you feel better soon and they miss you."
"You added that last part."
The hufflepuff recoiled in sarcastic offense. "Truly, that's what they said. I think they were even blushing when they said it."
"They were not!"
"Yes they were."
The ravenclaw felt the heat raise to their own cheeks, they knew they couldn't blame this on the fever. They sighed and stirred the soup. "You're my best friend, you know that."
With a scoff, the Hufflepuff rose and made their way to the door. "Well duh, who else would spend their lunch making their dumb sick buddy the best soup in the world? I added extra kale just for you." With a wink, they picked up their bag and turned to leave.
Thw ravenclaw called after them, eyes bright with excitement at the extra treat. "I love you! Have fun in runes class!"
"Love you too."
Hufflepuff: Loving yourself is a full-time job.
Slytherin: ...
Slytherin: Looks like I'm unemployed.
