As Blake exited the festival wheel chuckling to himself, he noticed somebody giving him a side-eye. “Okay, don’t judge me for riding by myself” he gave a limp smile, “Every time I go to a fair i’ve always done it, so it’s just a tradition. My mother hated the things, and my sibling always said they were lame”.

“You know, that doesn’t exactly stop my judgment,” Ella spoke teasingly towards the male although the look of judgment remained in her green hues. “You know there are these things and they’re called friends. I don’t know if you have any but maybe you should find some.”

She held her hand up to shield her eyes from the sun. “Fuck” She whispered as she scanned the store fronts. This place had changed so much since she had left. Isadora took slow steps down the street, trying to remember all the stores and what they were selling. Being new in a city was nothing different for her, but a city where she grew up and didn’t know where anything was, was a strange feeling.

After what she figured was a few hours of strolling around she realized she didn’t recognize any streets or any buildings. Great, I probably look like the new crazy girl now… She thought. Isadora stood under a dimly lit street lamp, trying to figure what way would take her home and take her there the fastest. “And now I look like a hooker.” She said to herself.

“Well, I guess that makes two of us.” Ella responded, turning her head in the blonde’s direction as she swung her bag over her shoulder after fishing her phone out to get an Uber. Only now had the brunette got off work, but that was just the perks of working in the medical field. “I was gonna continue walking cause you know, I could probably do with the exercise, but fuck it. I’m gonna get an uber, you wanna share?”

“I probably wouldn’t head back there if I were you,” Thea warned a passerby who had walked into the direction of quite a sight as she took a seat on a nearby bench, looking for a quiet place to light a cigarette. “A couple obviously got a little too hot and heavy on the ferris wheel or something. You might witness something you can never un-see.”

“Ick,” the look on Ella’s face said it all, but as well as looking absolutely disgusted the small woman was completely exhausted, so she took the opportunity to sit down next to the girl to avoid the scene she was about to walk into. “I swear people don’t actually have morals these days, or you know, consideration for others.”

So, she was afraid of heights. Who even cared? Valeria rolled her eyes as the kids behind her in line continued to yell about how awesome the ride was going to be. Still, her friends where nowhere to be found and the line continued to move until finally, it was her turn. The brunette looked around and when the man handling the ride shot her a dirty look she decided to go on anyway. With a heavy sigh, she took a seat, locking eyes with the person next to her for a brief second. “These things are like secure and stuff right? They check them?”

“I mean,” Ella paused as she took her seat on the ride beside the other brunette. “Val, it’s unlikely the ride’s gonna fail but being up this high I’m gonna go ahead and say you’d die as soon as your head hits the concrete, so, I guess it’s not too bad?” The brunette jokingly remarked as she strapped herself in. “And I have this theory if I die on a plane or from any height I’m closer to heaven so there’s not that far to go.”

To Erika it seemed like she had been pregnant for about ten years. Her back was sore, her feet had swollen up and she’d been having Braxton Hicks contractions for weeks now and she was just ready for it to be over but it seemed like they were never gonna get there. Kai must have been sick of her whinging and moaning about being too fat and being far too uncomfortable ninety percent of the time but, they both knew it was only the start. The sleepless nights would only continue once their little bundle of joy was born. “Kai,” the brunette let out a slight whimper at the pain of a contraction, glancing over to her sleeping husband beside her.  “I think it’s actually happening now. Babe.” She let out a sigh. “I think he’s coming.”

“I think so… But also kind of not at the same time,” she snickered. “I’m pretty excited to meet him, too. I can’t wait to have a new family member! Do you guys have a name set aside yet? Or am I not allowed to know?”

“We do, we actually have a set list of names for the rest of our kids too, but I’m trying to keep it a surprise so it’s really cute in the end.” Erika smiled down at the brunette. “But it’s not too far off now at least, only like, four more weeks.”
