Finding Help.

I can’t exactly pinpoint the exact time when it all began. But lately, I’ve been feeling too fed up with everything. It came to a point when I lost hope, I felt so confused with the way I’m feeling and I couldn’t cope anymore. 

Two months ago, I went to seek professional help. I stepped inside my psychiatrist’s clinic with a heavy heart. 

It felt good to converse with someone about my bottled up feelings without being judged, without being questioned, without being reprimanded. I went to therapy and it was a place where someone was willing to hear me out and to help me untangle my thoughts and feelings. I went to therapy and it was actually where I felt like for the first time in my life, someone genuinely listened to my innermost feelings.

I was suffocating but I stepped out feeling like I’m allowed to exhale freely, alongside with all the burdens that I have been carrying. I went home feeling lighter. Thank you, doctor.
