Hair We Share was created by Pop Wigs USA Head Designer, Suzanne Chimera and inspired by 12 year old Brooke who lost all of her hair from alopecia. Suzanne has been designing wigs since 1994, she has always been very sensitive to the devastating feelings that happen when a person loses their hair. While talking to Brooke's mom regarding a wig Suzanne didn't really hear anything she hadn't heard before Brooke been bullied, she has severe anxiety and depression, she feels ugly, her mom is afraid for her. Knowing that the cost was out of reach forSuzanne gave her the cost of the custom designed wig that Brooke had seen work by Georga VanCuylenburg on a 20/20 interview this family of five. But this was the last time Suzanne was going to let money prevent her from helping a person. After telling Brooke about her idea Brooke said she would be very excited to do this because she could "pave the way for other children". Our social media campaign began on September 20th 2013 and on September 27 2013 he had enough pony tails to make 10 wigs and enough money to cover the cost of Brooke's custom designed wig..just like she saw on TV!
