In Bible Genesis, the enemy who brought about the fall of Adam and Eve as Divinely created beings is described as a snake and in Revelations he is mentioned, but he is called a dragon. Since a dragon and a snake are of the same family, reptiles, the Book is telling us that at the end of the time of the rule of the wicked world, the baby snake will have grown and have become a dragon. The Scripture is telling us that the world of grafted mentality would rise in material wealth and be the ruler of the world. THE COCKATRICE Isaiah, Chapter 14, Verse 29 warns, "Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent." The cockatrice is a bird that has been artificially formed by the combination of snake or reptile and fowl or bird. Bird is another name for a prophet. With the head of a reptile, the religious doctrine (Christianity) would have the body of a bird. "REJOICE NOT" The warning to the people of Palestine (Jerusalem) came in the days just prior to the final fall of Jerusalem after the death of Jesus. The so - called Jewish community had gotten some power and the people were rejoicing because they had gained some self - government. Why, then, was the community of true righteous people told not to rejoice? It was because there also was a community of wicked people or devils in Palestine who were working to bring about a grafted world through a grafted religion. The righteous people were being warned that although they had gotten a half victory with the truth that they had received from the prophet Jesus, which had liberated them spiritually, they only were half free. The Book says that David picked five smooth stones from the water. In religion, stones are symbolic of laws or commandments. Five stones (commandments) had been formed smooth with out flaw in them by the movement of water upon them. Water symbolizes the moral body of Truth. When the Book says that "My people" are a standing water, it means that they are a moral body of Truth that does not move for anything but God. They are a standing water keeping the boundaries that God has given them. David is in the Bible as a messianic (messiah) figure. Messiahs come in the line of David, meaning that they come to re-establish the order of David. The figure "David" does not necessarily represent a flesh and blood person, but it represents a type of person and a type of kingdom that is to be restablished. This type of person holds God both first and last in his heart and he is a type of person that is willing to go to any extent to see that the will of God is done on earth.

David was a prophet that was the builder of a strong government in his time. After he died, the strong government began to crumble with corruption under the rule of Solomon. The return of a messiah like David means the return of a strong truth that will not give way under any force or power. That is the return of Islam in its pure state.

David used a stone to slay the chief enemy (strongest - opposition). That was the great giant Goliath who was slain with a stone that David shot out of his slingshot and hit him in the fore head.

That stone was the first stone (the first pillar of the faith in Islam): There is no god but One God (Allah). If you fire that one stone into the head of the enemy society, it will eventually bring them to their knees because their life depends on you worshipping something that is not Allah. If you don't do anything but invite the people to worship Allah alone, they will be brought out of the hands of the beast.

The rulers of the evil world of grafted mentality cannot rule unless you worship the things that they establish for you to worship. Once you stop worshipping the things that they establish for you to worship, they have lost you. The first stone to destroy the wicked society is the purity of worship, the worship of none but the Creator and the Creator alone. David picking five smooth stones from the water is an answer to what we have as our five pillars of Islam.

We should give mental and verbal recognition to the commandment that there is no god but One God (Allah). Allah is the God of all of the Prophets or Messengers of God. Because the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) represents all of the Prophets of God, we say, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah" and we also say, "and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and His Messenger."

This first pillar shows that we have accepted the One Universal Truth (Allah) and that we bear witness that it exists independent of everything else. That Truth has witness bearers (prophets) that bring the Truth to the people. We recognize that this Truth, has now come to us when we recognize that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.

Therefore, although we hold a great love and respect for Jesus, we need to understand that he is not the all-powerful God. Mark’s Gospel also reveals that Jesus had limitations in his knowledge. In Mark 13:32, Jesus declared that he himself does not know when the last day will occur, but the Father alone knows that (see also Matthew 24:36). Therefore, Jesus could not have been the all-knowing God. Some will say that Jesus knew when the last day will occur, but he chose not to tell. But that complicates matters further. Jesus could have said that he knows but he does not wish to tell. Instead, he said that he does not know. We must believe him. Jesus does not lie at all. The Gospel of Luke also reveals that Jesus had limited knowledge. Luke says that Jesus increased in wisdom (Luke 2:52). In Hebrews too (Hebrews 5:8) we read that Jesus learned obedience. But God’s knowledge and wisdom is always perfect, and God does not learn new things. He knows everything always. So, if Jesus learned something new, that proves that he did not know everything before that, and thus he was not God. Another example for the limited knowledge of Jesus is the fig tree episode in the Gospels. Mark tells us as follows : “The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. CURSED TO BITE THE DUST God is showing us that He is God. You cannot cut out a heaven for yourself and ignore God. If you want heaven you have to turn to God for it. The Book (Bible) prophesied that there would come curses behind curses because man felt himself to be independent of God and because he felt that he could do "his thing" by himself. God made the man in the earth, and then set some instructions for him. He told the man that as long as he followed His instructions he would be successful. But, the man willfully disobeyed God, even though God did not put a heavy burden on him. God said that the man could eat of all of the trees except one. "And the Lord God comrnanded the man, saying of every tree of the garden thou mayest eat . .. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Genesis 2: 16-17) That was a light burden to put on the man. God meant that there was nothing that He would hold back from the man but wickedness. He denied the man freedom to be wicked in the land. God meant that as long as the man was right, everything would be open to him. If he wanted physical wealth, moral wealth, or intellectual wealth - the way was open to him. But, if the man wanted to oppose God and His way, he would bring curse upon curse down upon himself. These curses have wrecked the society so badly, until now we come outside and we cannot find a breath of fresh air to breathe. The scripture says that the air, the lakes, and the rivers would be poisoned. It also says that once the man had poisoned the earth - the earth, the man, the woman, and the intelligence would be cursed. The Key To Success: Give Self Totally To God Imam W. D. His actions and his soul would then be protected by God as though God was the one committing those acts. Whatever he does with his hands or with any other part of his body or his soul, God will be with him. His deeds will become prosperous and successful. To love God totally is the answer for us. We find that Prophet Abraham held nothing back from God. He gave himself totally to God. You probably have heard the story of how he offered the life of his son, Ishmael to God in sacrifice because he saw in a vision that God required this of him. However, as the Qur'an tells us, "It is not the blood that reaches God, but your goodness (your sincerity) that reaches Him." God did not want a blood sacrifice This is not only the Qur'an, but the scriptures before it said the same thing. The Bible says that it is obedience and not blood sacrifice that God wants. Once Abraham carried out in his heart what God wanted, God showed him that his willingness was enough. By having this willingness, Abraham perfected his faith. Abraham perfected his faith because he denied nothing to God. Whatever God required of him, he gave willingly. Thus the verse says, "And who is better in religion than one who submits his whole self to God and is a doer of Good." There are some people who say, "Oh, I want to be so much in accord with God that my will becomes God's Will, that my spirit becomes one with God's Spirit." Priorities For American Muslims Imam W. Deen Muhammad Muslims in America must have Islamic education as the top priority in the community. Why? Because we are a new converted community, therefore we need to strengthen ourselves with Islamic education. We should take pride in having our own Islamic schools. If a Muslim community can manage only three grades, then have a school with three grades, but don't put up any sham for a school. If your community cannot establish schools that does the intellect and minds of your children justice, then don't shortchange or rob them of an education in the name of giving them Islamic education. If you cannot give them an Islamic education on a universal level, then give them Islamic instructions on Saturday for an hour or two hours until you are able to get the resources and equipment to at least give them a comparable education. But don't be satisfied until you have reached a universal level in educating your children. A very good and strong example is our high school in Chicago. The Principal has a Ph.D. in science and higher mathematics. It is one of the finest private schools in Chicago. We teach Arabic and we intend to add Spanish and French as foreign languages. These additional language courses will raise the value and prestige of our school even more. If you don't have a school in your area, encourage the academic minded and educated people in the community to work on the problem of bringing into existence a school. Start with the early grades and move up when you can manage to do so. Other Concerns for Muslims A school is not our only concern. But, the school will make business stronger in the community. The more importance we place on education, the more we are going to upgrade our business interest. A people who have no appreciation for knowledge are very weak in business. We have to understand that the more we promote raising the level of knowledge in our community, the better the future is going to be for our individual and collective business efforts. You may want to enter the business world, but you do not have a high school diploma. We mean a kingdom in abstract terms, a kingdom in the terms of knowledge, a kingdom in the terms of principles and ideas that we can apply to our lives to manifest a material kingdom. Prophet Muhammad didn't just teach the people to be sanctified, to get "the Holy Ghost." Bring heaven down to earth and live on earth the order that God has established in heaven. What order has God established in heaven? He has established a sun that is the "Big Daddy" over the planets, and the earth is one of those planets. He has established the moon to reflect the light of that sun when the sun is out of my sight. And He's established stars to light the way even when the moon is in eclipse or perhaps out of sight for a night. So, we find three symbols of light in the heavens and they all agree with each other. We have pure revelation from God that is the light for the world. Then we have a Prophet who reflects (demonstrates) that light to us in our lives. He serves as a moon to us. Then we have learned people who follow that Prophet. They are a distance away, they are not as close to the revelation as the Prophets, but they are saints that light the world of darkness and give us some light even though the sun and moon aren't showing right before our face.That's what it's telling us. We have to order our lives and we have to accept revelation as the rule in our lives. We have to accept the Prophet as the one who demonstrates or reflects that life to us. We have to accept the learned men and women in religion as light in the darkness for us when we don't see revelation or when we don't see the Prophet. Leadership Is A Must Now, that kingdom is not to stay up in the sky.
