PSA-I received this in the mail today from a friend paying his debt to society. I know 1st hand what it took to have this card made & stamped, as well as the thoughtfulness. On 4/17/17 my niece @beautiful_nadie was struck by bullets leaving her temporally paralyzed, her child’s father dead as she face a fight of her life. If I @ you in this photo it’s because your work polarize “Chicago culture”. It’s because you’ve been blessed making a living authoring colorful stories or politicizing what effects individuals, families, neighborhoods , communities throughout Chicago. My niece has a story, please check it out yourself. If your celebrity is your charity, perhaps you will feel charitable and help spread awareness as she continues to fight. Perhaps your charity will inspire her to remain encouraged. Don’t mind my informality. Today I consider choices that I’ve made & I’m in complete ownership of my less than desirable as well as celebrated results. I’m clear that “I did that shi...”!! When I was less mature I would I wish that I had a mentor to bounce my thoughts off of. I’d wished I were more patient... Eventually I tried professional counseling which resulted in me practicing patience. Practicing mindfulness as well as awareness. Mindful of my perspective & others (despite agreement or disagreement). Staying aware of what I create, my thoughts, my energy... & knowing that despite my claim of ownership with respect to my possessions, thoughts & actions, It is all but for the grace of the Almighty.
