Your note goes unanswered. You even tried to do your best cursive for your boyfriend and he doesn't bother to answer it. Fuck him.
"Malleus!" you call out to him at the end of class. He is already halfway out the room, and you've only barely finished packing your belongings into your bag.
"Yes?" he walks over to your desk almost instantly when you call out his name.
"Why did you answer my note?" you swing your bag over your shoulder and start walking forward, indicating that you're ready to leave the classroom for lunch.
"You handed me a piece of paper. I assumed it was trash." Malleus responds as he walks next to you.
You gasped, a slight bit offended. "That wasn't trash!"
"Then what was it?"
"It was a note!" you groan. Has he never passed notes in class before?
"What do I do with said note?" well, there's the answer to your question.
"It's like a conversation you have during class without the teacher knowing," your lips bend downwards into a frown.
"Why?" Malleus asks. "If I want to have a conversation, I simply would speak to the person I wanted to talk to. Why go through all these loopholes?"
"Because it's fun!"
"Oh," Malleus ponders for a moment. "I will try to respond to your notes... better, next time."
❥Synopsis: The Traveler is not of Teyvat, yet they worship You. The Abyss Monarch hates the gods but it doesn't include You.
❥Content Warnings: SAGAU, religious themes, cult au
❥Author's Notes: I love the twins and as someone who always has the Traveler on my team, I wanted to dedicate a chapter to the twins, especially after Nahida's revelation like goddamn wth is happening
❥The Traveler
The Traveler had first felt Your presence on them on the beach, back when they were telling Paimon their story and just before they ran into Amber and went to Mondstadt.
But while they had felt You so clearly back on the beach, they suspect that You have been with them since their sibling had been taken away by the Unknown God.
While they were recalling their memories and telling Paimon, they remembered that it had felt like they were being chosen. Like time had frozen and You had to choose between them and their sibling to protect one from the Unknown God.
They understood that You had to choose between one or the other and were eternally grateful to be saved, but mourned that their sibling could not be blessed by your warmth.
To them, Your warmth was so soothing, and unlike the other vessels, they were honored that Your warmth rarely left them. Even if You didn't take them to a battle or exploration, Your presence in them never truly left for they are always following wherever Your current vessel goes, out of sight of Your vision.
So now, they are determined to find their sibling, to be reunited once more, and to share this warmth with them. Even when they did reunite and were turned away by their sibling, even as their sibling refused to leave Teyvat and was encouraged to wander all seven nations to find the answer for themselves, even as You use them to solve all the problems they come across for You are a merciful and kind god despite their selfishness and reluctance to help, all they wanted was to for their sibling to be also blessed by this warmth that you had first blessed them.
They will scrounge the ends of Teyvat, searching for clues, helping the problems of the seven nations, killing everything and everyone in sight for Your vessels to get stronger, just so they could be reunited once more.
❥The Abyss Monarch
They hated the divine and what they stood for, hated them with all their being to the point that they would not leave Teyvat until the war they waged against them finished. They hate that because of them, they could not be reunited properly with their sibling and have to watch as they too learn of the truth of this world.
But they could not hate You.
How could they, when You protected their sibling? How could they, when they felt Your indecision on who to choose that fateful day when they were stopped by a god to leave Teyvat? How could they, when You made their sibling stronger? How could they, when the people of Khaenri'ah still worship You so? How could they, when You care for the Abyss, even as they wage war against the divine?
They were grateful that You had blessed their sibling so, grateful that You still care for the people of Khaenri'ah when most have forgotten them. Most of all, they were grateful that You will be by their sibling's side when they learned the truth of this world.
Surely, when You and their sibling learn the truth, You would see their point? Surely, You would bless them with Your warmth that You had given their sibling when this finally ends? Surely, You would side with them at the end, when the truth was finally unveiled?
No matter what the end of this journey might bring, they will kill the gods that had started this, not only for Khaenri'ah but for You.
❥End Notes: Have I mentioned that I love the twins cause I freaking love the twins
❥Q: Which twin did you pick? Did you have any particular reason for it?
It gets harder and harder to sleep during nights at Ramshackle. You don't mind your semi-shitty bed and ratty blankets. You've learned to ignore the constant draft and the ghosts and the fact that Grim snores like a vacuum cleaner. You couldn't really do anything about any of that.
It was your dreams that kept you awake. They were often prophetic, showing a drawn-out story like an animated movie playing for hours. You didn't know how they could perfectly mimic your real-life events.
But between these prophecies were something far worse. You dreamed of your old life. Your old home.
Sometimes you woke up crying, longing for the world you left behind. Sometimes you woke up crying because you know that this world, where you will forever be an outlier, is better than that one. Either way, you were tired of crying. You were tired of pulling Grim close to you solely because you needed to know that you weren't alone.
And so sometimes you would walk. Walk outside of Ramshackle. Walk until your feet took you somewhere new. Walk until your thoughts were gone and your tears left weird tracks down your cheeks.
Here you were now, standing in front of Diasomnia. You had walked to the mirror chamber and ended up here. Why here?
You knew subconsciously that you had a fondness for Malleus. But it was just a fondness. That is all it could be. That is all you would let it be.
And yet.
Here you were, in front of the fae prince's doorstep. You had walked through their stone gates. Somehow the large wooden door in front of the dorm had opened for you, as if it knew who you were searching for.
Your feet dragged. It was late, but you knew he would be awake. He always was at this hour. You trudged to his door, knocking against the wood.
When Malleus opened it, he was shocked to see you, of all people.
"Child of man, what are you doing in Diasomnia?" Malleus asked, before noticing the tear tracks. Noticing how you shook, not from the ever-present chill of the dorm, with it's neon green flames.
He ushers you into his room. Into the soft green candlelight. He looks so pretty in the moments where you can feel the tenderness in his gaze. The flickering light emphasizes his inhuman nature, carving out the valleys of his sharpened cheekbones. You understand why so many revere him, especially in this environment.
"Are you alright?" you can hear the soft concern in his voice.
And then the dam breaks.
He is the prince of Briar Valley, and yet he holds you so close. You feel like glass in his embrace, like you will shatter if he lets go of you.
You cry about the way you don't want to go back to that old world. You don't want to see those people again. It's so much kinder to live in an existence where your past cannot get you. Where the people who hurt you don't even exist.
But it's ironic to you that the world where you are forever outcasted is the kinder one. The world where you are forced to clean up other people's messes, to put others back together after they fall apart. Overblots and kidnappings and more fucking overblots! And nobody can even comprehend why you're so tired.
And Malleus, tall beautiful faerie prince Malleus, listens to every word. And he pulls you close and runs his hand through your hair. And he tells you that he will make this world kinder for you if he needs to burn it all down and start it all from scratch.
But when he takes your hand, he winces. When you pull his fingers away, you realize your ring had scorched him.
"My apologies for my reaction. Is your ring by any chance made of iron?" he asks, his voice smooth and rumbling like thunder in a summer storm.
You nod, not trusting your voice. That ring was wedged deep in your pocket when you had showed up here. It was one of your only reminders that your old world had even existed, besides your existing memories.
"Ah. Iron tends to burn fae folk like myself. You by no means have to remove it, I just thought you would benefit from the knowledge"
And you slid it off of your finger in that instant. You stand before a man who promised to make you safe and happy, and he expects you to hold onto the things that harm him?
The metal clatters against the dark hardwood. It says more than any words exchanged between the two of you could possibly convey. You take his hand into yours and lift his palm to brush your lips against the wound. You both are aware of your lack of magic, but Malleus swears he has been healed in that moment.
Malleus pulls you to his bed. His covers are the most beautiful smoky purple you have ever seen. They feel lavish. You sink into the warmth. He sinks beside you.
When you are comfortable beneath the sheets, you are pulled to rest on Malleus' chest. He holds your hand while you lay, with one arm around you.
The two of you have all the time in the world for words. All the time this universe will provide to ask each other what was to come of this. But tonight you would let the soft scent of briar roses and smoke lull you to sleep.
Warnings: Yandere themes and unhealthy relationships.
Childe
Childe tries really hard to play it off as a joke in poor taste. Truthfully, he saw this coming from a mile away. He had adequate time to prepare his response as a result. If this doesn't work, he'll completely forgo his lighthearted façade, shedding it like snakeskin. He says he understands your concerns (his tone is cold enough to make you doubt the claim), but that it isn't anything you both can't work through. That's what relationships are about! Open communication and compromise. His family loves you, he loves you, why would you want to ruin a good thing? He knows how to talk you in circles. It's so frustrating and you're already in an emotionally vulnerable state. Being a member of the Fatui, he's done his fair share of interrogations. He knows how to systematically break a person's defenses down.
Diluc
You can't tell by his expression, but the poor man's heart is absolutely shattering. He doesn't know what to do with himself. He feels as if the best thing he has in his life is about to walk out the door. His lack of a response doesn't aid the situation; you're waiting for him to say something and he's just silently standing there. Thinking. His gloved fingers drumming on his mahogany desk. Whether or not you'll be allowed to leave Dawn Winery depends on if you told anyone you were coming here. If you did, then you get a couple more days of freedom while he finalizes certain arrangements. If you didn't, well... the suite he had made to his customizations will finally have a tenant.
Kaeya
Kaeya makes you question if this is what you really want. He'll acknowledge his shortcomings, yes, but he'll also point out yours. If you're both contributing to a problem, it's only fair that you work together to solve it, right? He carries this quiet confidence to him that puts you under his thrall. He knows what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. He's good with people and there's no one he knows better than you. If you were upset with him, you'll forget what was even bothering you in the first place ten minutes into his talking.
Zhongli
Zhongli wants to get to the heart of the problem. He doesn't go for the whole "it just isn't working" spiel, he wants specifics, something tangible to work with. The level of tact he uses when obtaining this information is commendable. You don't even think he's trying to talk you out of what you've come here to do. Any concerns you raise are treated with a level of respect that you almost feel is unfitting of the situation. He makes you feel heard and seen, always such a reliable pillar of support. Negotiations are his forte. The God of Contracts knows when to make concessions and when to stay firm. However you intended this to go, it inevitably sways in his favor instead.
Albedo
Albedo is eerily quiet to the point you end up rambling far more than you intended, trying desperately to fill the empty space. He had considered this possibility before, so he isn't completely thrown for a loop. It's far more unpleasant unfolding in reality than a hypothetical in his mind, though. How he navigates this tricky dilemma depends solely on you. If he thinks you can be talked into changing your mind, that's what he'll do, calmly going over things in that tone of his that makes you think everything is going to be alright. This is the method he'd prefer, since it'd change your relationship the least. Should you prove particularly stubborn, he can always use alchemy to synthesize a compound that'd make you drowsy... so this conversation can be continued in a more remote location.
Scaramouche
Takes it the worst from everyone here, no competition. It doesn't matter the tone or words you use, he's positively seething on the inside, an unbridled ball of rage and hurt. You're trying to leave him. Everyone always betrays him. Even you, the one he begrudgingly holds in high regard (at least compared to how he views everyone else). He's upset with himself for getting in this vulnerable position, he's upset with you for adding to the list of betrayals he's experienced, and he's upset with the world for thinking it could ever succeed in taking you away from him. He won't let it end this way; you're a fool if you think you're going anywhere after stealing his manufactured heart.
Xiao
He doesn't really understand what you're getting at. The concept of a 'breakup' is lost on him. He doesn't view romantic relationships in the traditional sense, he never ascribed a specific label to your connection. He views you as his favorite being to spend time with, so it's not like you can say he isn't your 'boyfriend' anymore, the moniker was technically never in play. The conversation isn't fun for either of you. Xiao does get that something's off about your dynamic, so he'll give you some space... for a time. Still watching you from afar, obviously, he has to keep you safe. He has no clue how to navigate this interpersonal stuff. He just kinda hopes to settle back into your routine and hovers around in your general vicinity to encourage this.
Kazuha
You probably won't be able to follow through with your "it's not you, it's me" speech. His eyes... oh, his eyes are so soft, glassy, almost. He patiently lets you say your piece, hanging on your every word, not rushing you and even placing his hand atop yours when you get emotional. He reassures you if you try to take the blame; he never likes it when you put yourself down. The fault clearly lies with him. If only he could provide you with an opulent lifestyle, you deserve someone better than a ronin from a clan whose name was forgotten by time. In a panic, you try to assuage his worries, and that's all it takes. He's got you right where he wants. It's not even entirely intentional on his part, which further adds to his credibility.

Spoils You Rotten
wakes you up to the smell of pancakes and coffee. usually, when you have one-night stands, you usually are quick to change and book it. but the smell of pancakes was just so heavenly, you let curiosity get the best of you.
when you get to the kitchen, you're welcomed to the sight of him in a frilly apron, flipping pancake batter on the pan. he hums to himself until he turns around to see you, gaping at him as if you'd just seen a ghost.
"good morning, love. do you want me to run the bath now? i know you're probably a little sore from yesterday. i have some scented candles in the cabinet, although i'm not sure which one you'd prefer so i wanted to wait for you to get up so you could choose."
"what—" you gulp, trying to process the sight before you.
he tilts his head, puzzled. "is something the matter, love?"
"i'm—i'm just surprised, is all," you try, "i didn't peg you as the type to have...um...one-night stands."
he chuckles, sliding the pancakes onto a plate. "i don't."
he turns to you, his eyes locked onto you. "you're not a one-night stand. i fully intend to get to know you better. now, i'd pick up that jaw off from the floor, dear. you're going to let the flies in."
snapping out of your bewilderment, you close your mouth.
"good. now, would you like to take a bath? the muffins should be done in ten. i can bring your breakfast over to you in a bath tray when it's ready. and maybe after..." he gives you an unexpected smile. "i can massage all your sore parts?"
you literally can't move. not even when you try. when you wake up, you find yourself in a bear trap. you're legs are tangled with someone else's their arms locked around your waist in a vice grip. instead of chirping birds, you hear the thudding heartbeat of their chest resting below your ear.
when you try to maneuver out of his hold, his arms only tighten around you more. he groans lowly in your ear, shifting a bit.
"what's the hold up?" he murmurs into the crown of your head. "stay."
so much for sneaking out unnoticed.
you stiffen at his morning voice. it's unexpectedly raspier than you'd expected. he takes the opportunity to kiss your forehead tenderly, a lot tenderly than a usual one-night stand would.
"i have some errands to run." it isn't entirely untrue. surely, there must be something you need to do today.
he stares at you for a long second before huffing. "five minutes won't hurt, those errands can wait."
"wait but—"
before you can brace for it, he's already turning on his side and taking you along with him. he nuzzles his nose into the crook of your neck, leaving a trail of open-mouthed kisses.
"you weren't thinking of leaving right after a night of intimacy, right?" he mused. "i thought you enjoyed last night. i certainly did."
you flushed at the memories. as much as you wanted to leave as you'd planned, it was awfully comfortable in his embrace. it was warm, soft, and welcoming.
"stay for a little longer, okay?" he cooed into your ear, pulling the covers over you. "at least, long enough for round two."
scaramouche, cyno, thoma, kaveh, itto,
Finds excuses to make you stay
the moment you make any sign of leaving, he's already calling for you to help him with something.
you try getting out of his grasp first thing in the morning? he's asking for a kiss on the cheek to wake him up, he can't get up without it. picking up your clothes off the floor? he's already offering you an extra change of clothes, not to mention helping you put it on. he even smiles at your flustered state. getting ready to leave? he's tugging your sleeve, offering his many amenities at home that are seemingly much better quality than yours: his cleanser, his cute headbands, his moisturizers.
and you can't say no. not when he's giving you those eyes. so you end up staying.
in a blink of an eye, you find yourself suddenly helping him smooth out the outfit he asked you to choose for him, hands running down his torso. leaning towards you, you can feel his eyes digging into your skin.
"thank you, sweet thing," he says, pressing a kiss on your nose.
"it's no problem," you mumble. "but i really—"
"how about staying for a cup of water?" he offered. "you know how important it is that you drink water first thing in the morning. it's supposed to be good for your skin. digestion too."
"well, alright—"
"and while we're at it, what about a movie? i have some classics i've been dying to watch and it's always better to watch with somone else."
you end up staying wayyy longer than you expected doing the small things: sorting through books, doing face masks, watching halfway through a movie, eating breakfast together, helping him look for butterflies on his front yard, getting the mail together. all while the two of you exchange jokes.
by the time it's well into the afternoon, you finally snap out of your daze, realizing the time.
"you just noticed?" he grins. "how cute. well, thank you for putting up with my antics, sweet thing."
he kisses you softly on the mouth.
"think of this morning as an advertisement for the other mornings to come, whenever you want to stay the night again. you won't regret it."
The feeling is entirely mutual so you can't exactly complain.
People avoid you like the plague. Yet still, in the vein of a smoldering car crash, they can't help but look your way.
Whatever-
It's nothing to stress over. College is just another stepping stone of life- Whether you trip and fall into the mud or move on as a functioning member of society is still to be decided. There isn't much hope for you, but you'll slip through the cracks of life until you find a cozy little hole to crawl into and inevitably die in-
"Heyyyy, Y/n!"
If you aren't found dead in a ditch beforehand.
Jasmine and honeysuckle. Fragrances intended to attract and allure- They make you sick. They make you aware. Of her presence long before her repulsively candied voice pierces your ear canals.
"Heyyyy, Daina." You force a cheek searing smile, mirroring the draw of her call with not even a grain of her spirit or alleged enthusiasm.
Honestly, is there anyone in the world who'd genuinely be happy to see you?
"Ohhh my God." Glittered nails cover her mouth as she giggles - your balance thrown off axis as she slaps your shoulder with more force than intended-
At least you think anyway. She doesn't seem the type to attack you in broad daylight. A snake in the grass, waiting to strike.
"You are so cute, Y/n!"
"What do you want now-" You groan, dropping all pleasantries.
You never know what the few who dare to approach want, but whatever it is it usually isn't good. You don't have a lot to offer. Social vultures picking your rotting corpse for any scraps they can use.
"Aw, don't be like that! I just decided to stop by to see if you needed a sacrifice for your dark lord! I think I'd make a pretty good one. Church girl, pretty, virgin- Unless.. You're wiling to fix that for me."
Your unblinking glare sends chills down her spine. The polar opposite to the shock others typically experience in your company- Not that you needed to or would ever know how hot and bothered your indifferent attitude made her.
"Right, not funny- Um...." Pursing her lips, the mischievous glint in her eye dulls as she timidly rakes her hands through her strawberry blonde locks. Dyed, of course. You'd never said it aloud, but her natural hazel fits her better.
"There's a party this weekend and, if you're free, I was wondering if maybe you might just so happen want to-"
Spit it out already- Anxiety fogs your judgment as she spills on - swinging her shot with no ball to bat. What good would having you there do? A fight with her boyfriend? Trying to make him jealous? Maybe there's no boyfriend. Maybe she doesn't want to be seen as the outlier in her group. Is being seen with the school nobody better than going with nobody at all?
A pity invite? That's even worse. This is why you don't bother with popular people. If you try, you're swallowed up by their bullshit. Sized up by those hypnotic eyes. Torn apart by her polished nails. Chewed up and swallowed by that smile. That damned smile.
She's always doing this. Popping up when you least expect- Like a virus. What the hell does she want from you?!
Abort, abort- Before she can make a fool out of you. Better than you already are for even acknowledging her. You need to get out of here. Fast.
Uh.... Uh....
"I have to walk my neighbor's hamster!"
Shit!
"I have to give my lungs to charity!"
Why is it so hard to form a coherent excuse!
"I can't make it! I gotta go. See you in class- Bye!"
Squeezing past her, you barrel for the closest exit - all those grueling hours wasted in physical education like a phantom on your tails fueling the speed of your escape.
Coiling her hair around her index finger, eyes glued to your fleeting shape, Daina bites her lower lip - already plotting her next course of action for the next time your plans cross.
You, a young, curious fan of Infinity Nikki, somehow get pulled into the game world during a mysterious glitch.
Unbeknownst to you, Nikki is no longer the sweet, supportive character you admired from the game. Instead, she has developed an obsessive, protective affection toward you, treating you as her own child.
And that starts to show in the way she treats you...
Like how Nikki insists on dressing you in various outfits to 'keep you safe' or 'protect you from danger,' even when it’s unnecessary.
Or...
She becomes irrationally jealous of any NPCs or companions you interact with. She might even sabotage relationships or remove characters who distract you from her.
And If you attempt to bring up your real life or try to escape, Nikki becomes visibly upset, begging you to stay, then shifting into possessiveness when you insist.
Like now.
She has you cornered, her usual soft voice trembling with hurt and frustration.
"Why would you want to leave?" she asks.
"Don’t I take good care of you? Haven’t I given you everything you could ever want here?"
Despite her kind tone, there’s an edge to her words that sends a shiver down your spine. It’s the first time you sense the true depth of her attachment.
"But I miss my family, I want to see mommy and daddy again, I don't belong here "
When you finally admit that you don’t belong in her world and need to return to your real life, Nikki’s fragile composure shatters.
She breaks down in front of you, sobbing uncontrollably as she confesses her Platonic feelings.
"I love you," she says, her voice cracking.
"You’re like the child I’ve always dreamed of having. Do you know how lonely I was before you came here? You’re the only light in my life, the only thing that matters." Her confession is raw, a mix of genuine affection and unsettling intensity.
She clutches your hand tightly, almost as if afraid you’ll vanish if she lets go, her desperation is clear.
As her emotions overwhelm her, Nikki’s vulnerability hardens into determination.
"I won’t let you leave," she declares, her tone shifting from pleading to commanding.
"This world is perfect for you, for us. I’ll keep you safe here, away from all the dangers of that other place, you’ll be happy, I promise."
Maybe you shouldn't have made the wish to live in the game.
But how would you have known that such game would become your new life forever.
And the main character ends up being your new possessive mom.

Mmmmmm.... I'm tempted to try a Yandere Genshin AU, normalized Yandere Au inspired by the amazing writers that came with idea originally , but I'm not good at writing, or in English, and I probably couldn't make Like a "You" or "Reader" I don't have that ability.
Like, because I got so traumatized because of the CEOxY/N memes (peak internet) I can't see it in the same way. Like, I would need to make the... Protagonist¿? To have like features and personality and all that and it would probably be difficult for someone to actually see it as a reader, it would like a Oc or something. Like I would probably just leave it as [First] in case someone wanted to read it and imagine themselves in the position of the protag. But I don't know.
Maybe I will just do it for my entertainment and just post it here to have it somewhere and maybe get feedback or something. Because I don't have the skill you write in 'Pov' like I can't use the "You were feeling ____ or doing x thing" in the way writers here can. I would probably make it third person. Although I have been weighing the idea of making it like first a female protag x male yandere Genshin and then male protag x female yandere Genshin and then a male x male and female x female and such. I would probably base the protag in a combination and aesthetics of other characters of other games as well. Because my soul CRAVES a strong protag/reader/Mc whatever. Like no, I don't want it to be helpless against the yanderes I want it to be a difficult prey and for it to be cunning and strong and for the yanderes to actually struggle into trapping them or making them helpless. I want them to SWEAT and try to keep it low-key or calm because otherwise the protag is whooping their asses or just entirely leaving without them being able to stop it. I want a strong badass protag that will literally make the yanderes bleed and cry and sweat and like have a very hard time at trapping them. But at the same time I don't know what tags to put it since, like I said, it wouldn't be exactly a "Reader" or a self insert or anything like that. It would be like a nameless oc or something. Still thinking about it, not to mention it's been quite a while since I played Genshin so it would be a bit hard for me to represent the characters well but I could try.
I also have been thinking of making a HSR X Tenno but I'm also unsure about it.

Albedo:
As a renowned alchemist, Albedo is very proficient in all alchemical fields, including bio alchemy.
Subsequently, he is also very knowledgeable in the inner workings of the human body, and understands the biological mechanism behind most illnesses and how to prevent them.
Alchemist takes a lot of preventive measures, keeping you on a healthy diet and having you exercise daily. He also begrudgingly lets you out on the walks, with his supervision and far away from any civilisation of course.
He also has a keen eye for changes in your body and he will realize you caught something before you even sense it.
In that case he'll just slip some medicine into your food and you'll get better even before sickness progresses further.
All in all, Albedo is great at keeping you healthy, as your physical well-being is a very high priority to him.
However, the alchemist can become so consumed by his studies that even you temporarily fade into the background.
It’s a very short window of time, but if you manage to get significantly ill, he will blame himself to Hell and back.
You won’t know of his self-loathing though, as Albedo isn't expressive enough, wearing a facade of calmness even if everything beneath it boils and burns
He will quickly find a cure, and do everything to help you feel better as his mind starts to wander into darker places.
Albedo possesses a wide array of knowledge and he knows various cases when simple colds lead to some awful complications that sometimes have cost lives.
Logically he knows it's highly unlikely that you will get that bad, especially under his care, yet the anxious thought remains, nagging at him.
Your illness will be as stressful to him as it is to you. Alchemist's brain will conjure thousands of unfortunate possibilities that could harm you and cut your life short.
Once you recover, Albedo will sigh in relief and rethink his measures regarding your health - he can't let something like this happen again.
Maybe he should start slipping some prophylactic drugs into your food.
Diluc:
Ragnvindr heir is fiercely protective of you, eager to shield your being from any harm possible, including sickness and injury.
Just like Albedo he also takes preventive measures - diet, exercise, monthly check ups, even very short and very supervised walks on the winery territory.
Diluc is a big worrier, he almost always feels low level anxiety especially if it's something regarding your well-being.
He even thought of buying a manor - Dawn Winery, despite its impressive size, is still too small for an inner garden or a courtyard and with a new estate you could walk among greens and get your dose of fresh air without actually going outside, and the possibility of your escape will be lower too.
Diluc also derives some sort of pleasure from caring to you - it’s an act of both love and ownership to him. He will never admit of the latter though, as his feelings regarding your kidnapping are very confused and conflicted - Ragnvindr lies to himself, saying that it was for your protection only. Admitting that he feels possessive of you is admitting that he yearned not only for your safety.
Despite that, Diluc still has to part with you from time to time - he is a busy man having to juggle winery business, patrol Mondstadt streets as Darknight hero and fight against Fatui and Abyss at the same time. He will entrust you in the hands of Adelinde and a couple of other maids who went through a harsh vetting process, ordering them to keep an eye on your health at all times.
He will be more concerned about your sickness than you are, spending ridiculous amounts of mora on physicians and medicine.
The doctor can diagnose with a simple cold, yet Diluc will ask another for a check up just to be sure - who knows maybe the first one has made a mistake, maybe even the second one also misinterpreted your symptoms. Same goes for the treatments, as he has no faith in them either.
He will fret over you like a worried mother hen, but because of Diluc’s usual awkwardness he will fail at displaying his concern, so you will be stuck with even gloomier Diluc looming over you.
He will spend so much time near you he might catch the illness himself.
Diluc will start thinking about buying a manor more often.
Kaeya:
Kaeya isn’t the best at caretaking.
He won’t even believe you at first, thinking that it may be some kind of ploy to fool him and escape. He would absolutely do that if he was in your situation.
Cavalry captain will give you a knowing look every time you cough, sneeze or complain about soreness and fatigue. Who could’ve known that he would rub off onto you?
He will believe you once you develop more severe symptoms, like fever or unstoppable cough, that leaves you shaking and in tears.
Kaeya will jokingly apologize for his lack of trust, but he will be panicking beneath the mocking smile.
A lot of people have abandoned him in the past, and he will view your ailment as you trying to leave him too by dying.
A rational part of him knows that it’s not true, it’s not your fault that you got sick and death is definitely not a way out for you.
He will also reassess the way he views you - despite being talented at interpersonal communication playing on your heartstring and manipulating you into what he wants Kaeya isn’t the best at understanding himself.
Before he thought little of you - you’re a toy, a scapegoat, a stress relief, nothing that holds any significance and cannot be replaced, yet the prospect of losing you puts the whole situation into new light. In less than a day you are mentally elevated from the mere plaything, to someone important, someone irreplaceable.
He won't change the general way he acts around you though, as he thinks of emotional vulnerability and openness as a major weakness to exploit, still being that teasing and infuriating bastard you came to know him as.
Yet sometimes Kaeya will allow himself small moments - things that usually wouldn’t matter so much - a chaste kiss placed on the top of your head, his hand tracing yours, fingers intertwined together. He will also be a tiny bit more lenient when you misbehave.
Unlike Diluc or Albedo, Kaeya lacks funds or knowledge to treat you right away - he can’t bribe multiple doctors into keeping their mouth shut and his knowledge of biology is surface level at best.
He will still try regardless, giving you the same medicine he buys in the rare times he gets sick. It’s a win or lose situation, as his treatment may both worsen and better your health.
Venti:
Venti is acutely aware of your mortality and fragility, memories of thousands of thousands deaths resurfacing everytime he sees you approaching even the hint of danger.
As a result, he is very protective of you, no matter how carefree and childish he may act, as his teal eyes carefully oversee everything you do.
Nevertheless, the sickness, the ailment - this particular aspect of human vulnerability slips his mind - Barbatos, despite his peaceful demeanor, is someone who lived through a lifetime of turmoil - the overthrow of Decarabian’s despotic rule, earth shattering Archon war, Vennessa’s rebellion against corrupt Lawrences.
He always feared that your life would be ended by the stray arrow or a swift sword, not an illness.
Venti will cure you right away using his powers - with gnosis or not, he is still a mighty deity, even if years of absence left him weakened.
Although you’re perfectly fine and healthy now, the bard will still fret over you, scared of your passing.
Expect to have him hovering and being extra clingy for the next few weeks - archon’s life is long and lonely, full of losses and passing, no wonder that he wants to protect you from the whole world.
Yanderes caring for a sick darling hcs - Mondstadt girls edition
Starring: Amber, Eula, Jean, Lisa, Rosaria
[Mondstadt boys edition]
[Liyue boys edition]
Amber
Despite the fact that she can be rather forgetful and disorganized at times, Amber will consider caring for you as a highest sort of reward and responsibility at the same time.
It’s thrilling to have you all weak and dependent on her, Amber’s darker side swells and blossoms at this sight - outrider will never admit it though, preferring to think of herself as a simple girl who fell head over heels, not some freak who derives pleasure from the control over one vulnerable person.
Moreover, she is a generally kind person finding helping others generally rewarding and satisfying, so tending is also a kind of duty, feeling responsible for your health and well-being. It just doesn’t sit right with her to keep you ill, even if it gives her an upper hand.
The outrider will be very eager to help you recover and get better, even if it means parting away from you. The doctor might prescribe some special herbs that grow only in Liyue or say Dragonspine, and Amber will take it with all seriousness, starting to pack all of the needed equipment the same day.
She will depart for her destination, unafraid of both harsh, boreal winds or the beasts of other land, her determination burning as bright and hot as her pyro-infused arrows.
When she returns, the travelling bag full of the needed herbs and plants, she will lunge at you caging you in a tight hug and peppering your face and neck with kisses, uncaring that she might get sick too - Amber missed you that much.
Then, she will turn into your personal caretaker - always attentive and sometimes stern, she will guide you on the path to recovery, insisting that you need to do everything to get better.
Amber will also be an especially good listener - being sick sucks, she knows it, she also knows that you have a lot of grievances given your situation and if providing a careful ear to all your complaints will ease even an inch of your suffering she will gladly do it.
Eula
The offspring of a widely hated, but also incredibly wealthy clan, Eula has always received all the medical help she needed as a child, be it a thin, shallow scratch and a couple of angry bruises after the sword training session or the seasonal cold she accidentally caught.
On the other hand, she never received any emotional support during those times - recovery is a hard process, both mentally and physically, and spending her days completely lonely and sick left a lasting impression on Eula. Lawrences shrugged off her complaints and pleas for some compassion, an understanding, gentle care - she is of noble blood, she needs to be above some bodily discomfort - no matter if she’s an ill, feverish eight year old in need of some comfort.
Subsequently, she knows how to treat most of the ailments, yet she is bad at providing emotional support. Deprived of love and care her whole life, Eula is clumsy and awkward at providing it for you - you need some direct words of reassurance, something that isn’t hidden by her usual vengeance-obsessed facade.
Eula will spend a considerable amount of mora on your medicine, it’s so big that her Spindrift captain salary might not fully cover - she doesn’t care as your health is her top priority.
Instead of words, she will show her support and care in deeds, cooking some light but savoury and fulfilling soups, as not to disturb your stomach and offering massage and her services.
Eula won’t let you do anything taxing during this time, taking the full brunt of your tasks and jokingly “threaten” you with a vengeance she will have if you dare to disobey her and do something hard.
All in all, she is a very awkward yet dedicated caretaker, becoming extra overprotective during your sickness.
Jean
Jean, to her dismay, can’t afford to spend much time with you with all of Mondstadt relying on her. Your dates are rare and short, yet she awaits them with a mix of excitement and anticipation, pushing herself further and further to complete more work, so nothing can possibly distract you two from your shared time.
She will get very upset once she sees you all red-eyed and coughing, immediately blaming herself for your declining health.
Prepare to be confined to your room and endlessly coddled, as Jean becomes a watchful, overprotective and stern shadow at your side.
She won’t stop working of course, preferring to take some documents with herself as she watches over you and your activities.
It will actually lead to her overworking again. You will have to beg her to take a break, both from caring for you and the Favonius business.
She will cave in, of course, assigning some of her duties to Kaeya and Lisa and asking Barbara to visit and check up on you, before taking a well-deserved day-off.
However, the anxiety of something going wrong will appear in Jean’s head on the first day, on the second one it will become so loud and haunting that she will break her promise to rest and come back both to you and unfinished papers, feeling ten times guiltier now.
Will oversee your recovery, while working. She will be so stressed out that she might catch sickness from you.
Now you will have to tend to her, a sudden turn that hard working yet incapable to work at the moment Jean will find a sudden pleasure in.
Lisa
Lisa is the best graduate of Sumeru academy for the last two centuries, so it’s no wonder that she quickly notices and identifies your sickness.
Despite the initial urge to heal you up, she will stumble, deciding to fully use this opportunity to her advantage.
The Librarian's mind contains multiple recipes of potions that can easily cure most of the illnesses, yours included, it also has a lot of knowledge of weak poisons - substances that don’t kill, but can worsen one’s ailments.
You won’t know better, accepting the potion that is said to quickly fix you up. The substance brings a quick relief - both sneezing and fear disappear, as your cough lightens.
It quickly changes however, as after three or for days of quick and obvious improvements, symptoms crush you with a renewed force. You don’t know the reason for it, yet you never blame Lisa or her potion.
Lisa will teasingly chide you for overworking yourself into the relapse, as she slips a tiniest bit of the poison into your treatment, so you stay weak and needy and so deliciously dependent on her.
This game however will soon bore Lisa - having you vulnerable around you is cute and good, yet caring for you takes both time and effort and Lisa likes you more when you’re more independent.
You will never learn why you had such an awful sickness, but you will be grateful to the witch, thanking her for all the medicine she provided you with.
Rosaria
During her time with bandits, Rosaria has never received proper care - everytime she got sick others would just laugh at her and force her to work, deaf and blind to her distress and suffering.
This habit, an attitude that was forced by others onto her, is still present to this day - the extravagant nun is less than interested in her own health, preferring to ignore the signs of the sickness - she can work with that, she always did.
Seeing you on the other hand all sick and weak emerges something in her - it just doesn’t sit right with her.
Rosaria knows that you won’t die - she had it worse and she’s fine, but the nagging feeling doesn’t disappear. A low level anxiety for your health will be a great nuisance in her eyes, as she continuously loses her sleep over several nights.
It all will end with the nun begrudgingly starting to care for you. Rosaria always thought that doing anything for others is bothersome and tiring, yet now cooking a light chicken soup and checking your temperature she can’t help but feel like something missing returns to her. Maybe she was meant to look after you.
She will never admit it though, unused to having anyone of importance in her life, so you will be stuck with an intimidating nun wordlessly spoon feeding you soups and medicine.
One of the nun’s duties is to tend to the sick, and so disciples are trained in basic medicine. Rosaria thinks about attending at least those lessons.
