The pattering of rain against the rooftop was calming. Each drop seemed to make it’s own melodic sound as it reached it’s destination. It gave Aladdin the chance to sit back and relax; to enjoy a few moments of peace without having to worry about the world around him. In this moment, there was only him and the rain - nothing else.
That is, until a flash of rukh passed by. It stirred him from relaxation, and admittedly, he was disappointed it had ended so quickly. His eyes met the owner, and a small smile immediately placed itself onto his face.
“Hakuryuu. Would you like to join me in listening? The rain is really pretty.”
God is crying. The dark clouds that loomed over the empire were frightening when he was a child. He could still remember running teary eyed to his brother as he became aware of the rain.
[ It is nothing to be afraid of Hakuryuu. God cries sometimes too, just like you. ]
Those soft words were able to calm him- Maybe this God that everyone spoke of was gentle.
He stretched his arm outward to catch a few droplets in his hand.
It was only fitting, that God would sob too, on the day when his brothers were no longer of this world.
Who was God crying for today?
Thoughts like that crept into his mind with the sound of raindrops.
“Hello, Sir Aladdin. If you stay out here for too long you will catch a cold. It is better to go inside.”
