ALL WATER DOES NOT TASTE THE SAME
I show affection for my pets by holding them against me and whispering I love you repeatedly as they struggle to escape from my arms
quick mermaid for today’s sketch dailies theme.
You know when you need to practice speaking a language but you don’t want to speak it in front of native speakers because you’re worried they will judge you for your poor grammar skills and limited vocabulary

Your theory there doesn't make any sense. Do you really think Hakutoku wouldn't have noticed something like that? Just because they have the mole on the same spot it doesn't mean they have to be clones.
Except 4 children all have it in the exact same spot at different ages as the mother with the exact same coloration.
While moles can be inherited (as a condition, and very rarely, in the same place), the fact the other parent’s genetics seem to have played absolutely no part in variation (compare this to the Kou- siblings, who have varying shades of red hair, for example) seems to hint that it’s more of a Scheherazade-Titus situation. And we don’t really know the circumstances of their “birth”. Like if Kou is based off ancient China, there’s a long list of taboos regarding who can interact with pregnant women, where they can go, what tasks they can do, and so on.
Also, as we’re informed, Hakutoku spent a great time out in the field, bringing together warring nations. So even if she wasn’t cloistered off during her “pregnancies”, he simply may have not been there since care of a pregnant woman was seen as the responsibility of her mother-in-law in that time period/culture (not the husband).
Plus her method of cultivating the clones might simply be different. Scheherazade used trees, but since cloning is a type of magic unable to be used by anyone other than magi, it may be on the magi to discover a method that works for them — like Scheherazade’s small stature and active presence in her society may have provoked her to seek an alternate method of making clones for herself.
Sorry you don’t think it makes sense, but having 4 kids with the exact same appearance as their mother when Ohtaka’s shown to keep the influence of different genetics in mind through the Kou- siblings through their varying hair colors makes equally little sense.
Edit: Oh yeah, just gonna add, moles aren’t the only similarity —
and since Hakuei’s is a little hard to see there —
They don’t just have the mole and the same hair/eye color (and skin, excluding Hakuyuu and Hakuren’s tan) —
But also the same split-ended eyebrow.
Let’s have a hip thrusting Nagisa to go with the hip thrusting Rei-chan~
I’d do the other boys, but the main dancer usually gets in the way or the credits do. It was awkward enough to edit Haruka out of this one :P
They call him the light because wherever he goes there is a sort of darkness surrounding him. Shadows. But they do not devour him for he is the one who calls them. He embraces them, seeks them with such fervor. They call him the light because only he can see these twisted beings for what they are, loving each one of them for who they are.
Hey everyone
No one can deny the life I’ve led. It doesn’t matter if everyone else forgets. I will never forget about it.
