So y'all know my inabilities of posting at all but I promise you I actually finished a piece that's been sitting in my files!!
I drew Lin Beifong :0 surprised? Same frfr. Anyways I always like to think that Asami managed to get Lin out of the office. Like to have a girls night out!
The girls night out would be with Lin, Asami, Korra and Opal probably and of course we can't forget Kya. Kya catches wind of Lin going out and miss ma'am comes back to RC. Like most people thinking that Lin has a lack of fashionable things to wear and Lin is slightly nervous to hang out with girls so young and their jaws hit the floor.
Like Lin is literally made of money and probably saved at least a couple of fashion designers so miss ma'am is hooked up with the good stuff lol
Anyways, without further ado, have a Lin Beifong drawing
This drawing has been sitting in my files since last year sometime and it was always such a shame I left it there to collect dust. Like I swear to you guys I have not stopped thinking about it and so I finally managed to make myself finish this dang drawing on my weekend.
Took me maybe two hours to color it (which to be honest, was very limited)
But I finished it, and below are the only saved photos of my progress but only because I cleared my camera role out XD
Anyways, enjoy Lin and if reposted please credit!! I'll try to make more art soon! See you in the future sdkjkjsdjksd
Guess my favourite character from the owl house lmao (I love Raine sm)
I rewatched the show two months ago cos I missed it sm, and now to see there will be a graphic novel makes me so excited and in happy tears🥹 (literally I still cant believe it) It’s been years and this show will always have a special place in my heart, I don’t have words to describe how much this show means to me😭 aaaa (I wanna draw Hunter as well)
"Another fucking rejection letter ..." Mahiro muttered under his breath the best he could, ripping up the latest bit of bad news into shreds and watching to see if his sister heard him swear. No sign of it, thankfully for him - Mihari had gotten on his case more than once for it, and he wanted to be more mindful about how he was talking around her. He may have his vices, but he made sure it didn't bleed over into polite conversation.
That didn't stop Mihari from greeting him as she usually did every day when he came back from cram school and exam prep classes and seeing his exhausted self, bags under his eyes having a seemingly permanent residence and his general posture only to be described as "defeated". She may have been the smarter of the two, but she felt early on that she should tread carefully. After all, Mahiro was still dealing with his having been rejected from his preferred college because of his entrance exam - several points shy of getting in, and repeatedly. Mihari could tell this was weighing on him, but she couldn't help but wonder if something else was going on with her shut-in brother.
Early into his being a NEET, on the nights where he thought he'd safely soundproofed the room enough, Mahiro took to berating himself over his failures and crying. Despite his best efforts, Mihari could still hear her brother being upset, but never at her. He would never direct it towards her - in Mahiro's words, she wasn't at fault for his feeling too stupid to do anything. Mihari was gifted with the smarts, the ingenuity - it wasn't that he was robbed of those by Mihari, but that fate refused to treat him with even a fraction of that kindness.
Tonight, Mahiro walked straight to his room, ignoring his sister's greeting. He didn't have the energy or will to look her in the eyes - not unless he wanted to break down into a crying fit again.
Mihari could only look on as he sulked past. "Big bro -" she barely could get the words out before Mahiro closed tightly the door to his bedroom. She could tell it was another soundproofing night.
Normally, Mihari would leave things be and ride out her brother's depressive episodes while offering help where she could as a sibling, but something drove her to get her clipboard and a notebook. For any other scientist, this would be a major ethical breach and a violation of privacy, but she had to admit that she was scared for Mahiro.
Tonight was going to be different. She sat down at the wall next to her brother's bedroom door and listened in as best as she could, carefully, writing, looking for ways to help. She would continue this process for several months, steeling herself each time and each time going back to her room feeling incapable of doing anything.
Mihari heard what she expected: self-deprecation regarding Mahiro's intelligence, despite the fact he was a smart person who was just bad at testing; hatred for the education system (which, Mihari noted, was justifiable); wishing he didn't feel useless (she would later chalk this up to frustration and pressure to perform in a regular setting).
There was one other bit that surprised her. Mihari figured her brother to be a little jealous of her intelligence, or even something perverted, but this was something else entirely.
This would require more research.
------
"Good morning, big brother!"
Mahiro was barely functional, let alone awake, to register his sister being in a cheerier-than-usual mood. All he could do was sit down at the dining table and eat the toast and eggs she prepared. His other meals were provided by his doing odd freelance jobs online that paid well enough to stave off starvation, but his sister often made the breakfast options, more often reminding him that he has to eat more than just toast.
The eggs tasted a little different today, he noticed. Not a bad different - in fact, it tasted nicely seasoned.
"Mihari, did you do something to my food?" His sister walked in from the kitchen with a big smile on her face. Mahiro knew something was up, but waited for her response.
"Well, I did use a different spice blend I read about online. You like it?"
He couldn't really deny that it did taste good, but Mahiro couldn't shake off the feeling something else was going on.
Another day of online jobs, hating everything about himself, and eroge.
--------
Mahiro woke up earlier than usual for some reason. He didn't have a stressful sleep or anything, but it was different. He felt ... rested.
He had been noticing a few other things going on with his mood and his appearance. Nothing major on either one, but ... clearly different. He didn't want to stay with his ero games all that much, originally chalking it up to boredom. But then came the improved complexion, the hair looking nicer, and ... even his face looking different. The shape felt like it was shifting some.
He didn't mind the changes. He just wasn't sure why they were happening and why he was okay with it.
------
"You ... did ... what????" Mahiro was furious. His sister did do something to him, and what was worse was that she hid it from him.
Mihari had wanted to confess to him what was going on for the past few weeks, and her hand in it. She had gone to his bedroom, hoping to have a calm conversation and gather information.
That didn't go well.
"I- I- put a macro-dosage of estradiol in your food to -"
"In layman's speak, god dammit!!!"
Mahiro knew full well from the context what estradiol was. He was familiar with it being brought up in his games at times. He wanted his sister to admit what she did, and he had every reason to be upset with her. Yet, looking at her now after he yelled at her - something he rarely if ever did - he knew he screwed up.
Mihari was stunned silent, crying, unable to answer his demand.
"I- I didn't mean ... I didn mean to-" she stammered, before running to her room. Mihari ran to her room and slammed the door behind her quite hard.
Mahiro could hear her sobbing from down the hall. This was quite an uncomfortable first. He closed his door and soundproofed the room. In this moment, though, Mahiro didn't have the energy to scream, or the desire to. Instead, he was flooded with questions.
How did she know? What's going on with me? I would never do that to her, why did I do that? and so on.
He didn't sleep well that night. There was one question he could answer, but did not have the will to face -
Why do I feel okay with what she did?
------
The next morning was awkward, to say the least. Mihari didn't look like she slept well, either. Mahiro felt even more guilty about how he handled her revelation of the experiment, and wanted to get the words out, but the only thing on his mind was the shame regarding his actions.
Mahiro slept poorly again. He knew he had to do something to patch things up with his sister, but he also needed to admit something to her. Of course, when he made that resolution, it was 4 in the morning. Better to save it for after sunrise.
----
A knock at Mihari's door. She couldn't sleep, again, and resigned herself to working on other experiments. The knock jarred her from her trance.
"Sis, can we talk?" Mihari wasn't sure she heard that right. She cautiously opened her bedroom door, welcomed by the sight of an equally emotionally-exhausted brother. The visage she hadn't seen in a few weeks since she started putting estrogen in her brother's food shocked her, but Mihari was certain she didn't look all that much better. She started to say "Big brother, I'm sorry" before being cut off by a hug. And crying. Lots of crying and breathing and calming down and letting go from the tight hug the two shared in that moment.
"I'm a piece of shit who yelled at you when you were wanting to help." Mahiro knew he was going to get a lecture later about the swear, but he had to get it out. "I was angry with you, but you didn't deserve what I said." He looked Mihari in the eyes, hoping for forgiveness.
His sister walked away for a moment. Mahiro was scared for what could possibly happen, but instead witnessed Mihari's grabbing her notepad and a pencil. She was also crying, and motioned for her brother to sit at her chair while she sat on her bed.
A palpable tension hung in the air as Mahiro waited for his sister to say something. Mihari was furiously writing ... something. He couldn't make out what. Despite his trying to pay attention to her writing, he was startled by his sister's snapping the notebook closed.
"Mahiro, I'm going to ask some questions. Let me know if they're uncomfortable to answer."
--------
There were so many questions. Of course they were all uncomfortable, but Mahiro felt compelled to answer them all, and honestly. How he felt his mood improve or worsen (weirdly, an overall improvement), any physical changes of note (he noticed his hair looking better), sensitivity (he thought that was a weird question at first, but would later understand its being relevant), his outlook on things (not optimistic, but certainly more realistic), and so on. She did tease him about the swearing but let it go. There were several questions he wasn't sure how to answer, though, and he admitted he needed more time to answer them.
Have you ever felt jealous of other women?
Have you ever wanted to be the female characters in your games?
How would you feel if you were born a girl instead?
How would you feel if you were treated as a different gender from what you currently are labeled?
If given the chance, would you prefer to continue taking hormones?
Mahiro knew the answers, but wasn't sure why those answers scared her.
Her?
Her.
Mahiro didn't know how it was possible to be excited and terrified at the same time, but ... she was. She knew the answers.
I am a woman. And I want to be treated that way.
Mahiro slept soundly for the first time in what felt like years, and with a smile on her face.
--------
"Wait, big bro, tell me that again." Mihari was absolutely certain she heard her brother wrong. He couldn't have possibly asked her to provide him estradiol. Mahiro repeated the statement, but with a tad bit more confidence.
"I said I want to keep taking estrogen. Also, I'd rather be called big sis."
Mihari saw the fear in her sister's eyes. Any other person might not take such a request too kindly, and Mahiro was worried how her sister would take to it. She didn't have to worry for long as Mihari hugged her tightly, screaming with joy and bombarding Mahiro with things like "I am so happy for you" and "Thank you for trusting this with me" and "I'm sorry I did that" and "You looked so much happier" and other things Mahiro couldn't keep track of. All that mattered right then and there was that the two sisters were able to talk to each other again.
-------
Of course, Mihari wasn't quite done with the experiment on her sister. She needed more observations, more research, more time to catch up with her sister.
Mahiro would need help with presenting in a more feminine manner, and especially would need help with shopping for clothes. A newly-minted big sister wasn't just going to transform into a middle schooler and just use her sister's hand-me-downs. No, Mahiro needed a new wardrobe, a few lifestyle changes, and a much cleaner bedroom.
Mahiro was also going to need help with navigating the changes she was going through. After all, this was a second puberty, and with that and the higher dose of estrogen, she was going to be dealing with quite a bit. She would complain to her little sister about it, but neither would change a thing.
No amount of estrogen, however, would help Mahiro pass the entrance exams, but at least she felt more comfortable talking with Mihari about it. Mihari's suggestion of going into the exam wearing a dress was out of left field, but it worked somehow. A point above passing. Celebrations were followed by exhaustion was followed by applying for colleges. Of course, Mahiro took to the online classes more.
It’s been 2 years since I finished this one. Looking back, I never expect this fancomic would bring me to another step of my art journey. I’m glad persistently finish this long fancomic (still my longest genshin fancomic till today) despite the hurdles at that time 🤲
Faruzan: I hate to break it to you lady, but you were scammed. Those things weren’t around for that long as they were relatively new when I was a youngster.
Ningguang: (intrigued) Interesting.
Ningguang proceeds to rent out her services on a part-time contract.

Faruzan: (happily fussing around with something in her hands)
Student: Wait . . . is that my final?
Faruzan: (still fidgeting with it) Yes. You were actually paying attention when I dropped that lesson on puzzles and mechanics on you. Color me impressed.
The object is an advanced puzzle in a runic text that was translated through two older languages before getting decoded in three different way only to be written off as impossible to understand. It is also a functional fidget cube and Faruzan has gotten through half of it.

Person: Don’t touch my antiques!
Faruzan: Antiques? These are just dolls! I had like five of these as a child!
These are dolls from over a century ago, Madam Faruzan.

100 years ago . . .
Faruzan: I’m telling you, once this cycle ends, my theorem will be correct!
Now . . .
Faruzan: So is this theorem true today? Yes? (smugly) Heh. I told him I was right.
