What Happens When Your AI Companion Can Be Seen
Reporters covering the AI companionship space tend to focus on the chat. It's the easy part to describe. But the more interesting story right now is happening on video, and SweetDream sits near the center of it. At sweetdream.ai, video calls are available with select characters, and the people using them describe a shift that's hard to capture in a feature list.
The mechanics are straightforward enough on paper. You build an AI girlfriend exactly how you want her, choosing appearance, personality and voice, and the platform's chat keeps track of your history so conversations build over time. From there you can send voice messages, take real-time phone calls, and, with the right character, move to a video call where she actually appears and responds. The continuity is the point. Nothing feels disconnected.
Set against competitors like candy.ai or ourdream.ai, all working in the same emerging field, SweetDream's edge is consistency across the whole experience rather than one flashy trick. The video call is impressive, but it lands because everything leading up to it already felt real. That's the detail most observers keep coming back to.

It's hard to look at her

An apeal of help for people of Gaza !!! 🧡💚🤍🖤
Dear supporters ,
All thanks and gratitude for your humane stances with people of Gaza that badly need your support and assistance in this dire time.
Nine months of displacement and famine have incredibly added to our sufferings and hardships. We have used all words of sadness and sorrow to describe the situation we have reached to, but such words weren't enough. The size of tragedy and suffering are much greater than you may have seen or watched on several channels and social media sites.
To be displaced and homeless isn't easy to imagine. To lose what you have built all your lifetime is unbearable to think of!!! Houses and livelihood businesses have vanished, leaving behind the whole family to suffer for getting the simplest daily basic needs! Life is unfairly dire and harsh, and we don't deserve to live such hard scenarios.
So , I am asking you to give your hand to people leading a hard and dire life in Gaza. You are our last hope in a time all means of life no longer exist. Please stand with us to help keep my family stay safe .
You can support my family either by donating or sharing my campaign link to others so that the goal may be reached sooner.
Of course!
Basel's campaign is #214 on this vetted fundraiser list. Please donate if you can!
Miku sketch!
Do you ever sell prints of your art? It's really beautiful
Thank you! I don't at the moment, but I've been thinking more about it recently.

hey!
i just saw your rainy/overcast painting of botw/totk and like first of all you’re so right in saying it’s breathtaking because it really is
secondly do you paint and shade everything like bit of grass and foliage and details by hand or do you use those stamp style brushes? i’d love to be able to paint like you so i figured id ask!
Thanks :)
I did use stamp brushes for most of the grass and vine leaves! I usually hate using those kinds of brushes since they end up looking stiff and lifeless to me. But painting everything (especially grass) by hand is miserable!! So I did the base of the grass and vines silhouette with these brushes I made, and then painted the rest on top by hand to break up the repetition. I think that helped the greenery look a bit more natural without taking 5 years, haha.
Here are the brushes if you’d like to download them! I also included the brush I use for individual grass blades since it works so well. Foliage is always a struggle to paint, but the best advice I can give is to work in layers so you can maintain a clean silhouette for each section and easily make edits.
hey what brush do you use for line work ? <3
I use a pencil brush that I found on a computer back in college! I have no idea who made it or where it came from, but I uploaded the version I use here if you'd like to download it.
Also gumroad needed a preview image so I made this. But I don't see it on my account. So anyway please enjoy it because it took a bit!
I’ve been meaning to paint a gray, cloudy botw/totk piece for so long!
