I’m tired and exhausted and busy in general, but I am okay and wanted to let you all know that much. Got some messages here asking and just wanted to put you all at ease. Thanks for thinking of me and I hope everything is okay with you folks too.
I’ve been away from tumblr for a while because life things and also Legion is lots of fun. I hope you all are doing well and taking care of yourselves.

We caught a spearow today on one of our walks and I swear my dog struck the most pokemon battle pose I have even seen. Like buddy did you sense it?
I hope you all are doing well. Been a rough couple of months, but I was lucky enough to travel down to the beach to see some friends. And I brought pup. He spent most of the time burying us in sand because of course you dig toward the humans.
Sometimes I think about the rebuilding of silvermoon and how creepy do you think it is now that to this day there are buildings sitting empty all over the city, I mean 90% of their population was killed off You Know that there has to be whole swaths of that city sitting empty and gathering dust.
Like even if every single surviving elf from all around quelthalas moved into the city you can’t tell me that it would be filled to capacity and they probably didn’t anyway? I mean from the in game model I assume that 2/3 of quelthalas was razed and taken by the scourge, but even if you made it only half, with 90% population reduction even only half of their original habitable land would be more than enough to house the remaining elves. I think of quelthalas today and I have to imagine that it’s a little bit creepy and weird feeling still for elves- imagine walking through the city and just… avoiding whole swaths of it because there’s nothing there. Imagine elves moving into empty portions of the city because their old homes are gone or whatever and they have literally no neighbors. Everyone is dead.
And I think about the rebuilding too- so the magisters came in and built it back up with magic right? Basically overnight, from what we’re told. So did they just restructure the facades and leave the interior open shells? How do you rebuild something when you don’t know what it looked like before? They’d have to just wing it and throw up something that looks right to them- I mean fuck it right, they have like a 9 out of 10 chance that whoever lived or worked there is dead anyway.
Imagine the survivors though- coming back later and where there were once bazaars or bustling neighborhoods of flats or sophisticated shops now there are empty rows or open courtyards with fountains. Imagine now after the sunwells return and kaelthas’s defeat those open courtyards sitting empty with pedestals in the middle holding nothing because the giant fel crystals that hovered there are gone- how eerie that must be, how surreal. There is no going back to how things were- even a decade later there are reminders every day all around that your race was almost wiped out, that you are part of a small small batch of survivors, that you’re all that’s left.
I dunno I just feel like that is still a valid outlook for blood elves and especially for such a long lived race that probably doesn’t adapt as readily to change as humans, I imagine that it will be hard to deal with for a long long time.
ahhhhh yes THIS. ALL OF THIS IS WHY I LOVE BLOOD ELVES SO MUCH. A magical kingdom of powerful, arrogant, long-lived race razed down overnight and struggling to rebuild in a war torn world while haunted by memories of the collapse of their civilization…
This is the reason I have been so absent from tumblr, but how can you blame that face? I hope you folks are all doing well.
A reminder that my dog is the cutest and he will blep too.
