Plants in the Bedroom

If only this were as sexy to my partner as it is to me 😅 I can’t help it.. I keep bringing home more plants, even knowing I don’t have room for them. They’ve taken over my living room and now my bedroom. I have so many plants that I’ve started taking them to my preschool classroom. My students are all super respectful of my plants - I haven’t had any issues with kids cutting or trying to eat them (thank goodness). But the simple truth is this: PLANTS MAKE ME SO HAPPY. I love every single one of my plants and I love caring for each of them too. So how many plants are enough plants? I tell you this: THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!

What might they say, I wondered

I’m working on a bullet journal with a bit of a collage twist to it. I love making poems out of magazine titles. I went to Goodwill and picked up a few magazines (Better Homes & Garndens, National Geographic, etc) to cut up. I love the images & information that can be found in NatGeo - it’s always a lucky day when you find a copy from the 90s or earlier! I love comparing the knowledge from then to now.

Frozen 2

okay so I’m gonna go off on a lil ramble about character design and why Frozen 2 killed it with Elsa 😍

Picture 1:

The braid: ever so uncertain and tangled like Elsa’s emotions. The braid symbolizes, to me, Elsa’s troubled mind. She’s worried, confused, vulnerable - wrapped up tightly, like a braid.

Picture 2:

The ponytail: One word: determined. Elsa is becoming more secure and confident in herself and her magic. She no longer timid and wrapped up in her mind.

Picture 3:

HAIR IS DOWN: Free. Flowing. Beauty. Complete confidence. Elsa is no longer holding back or hiding. She is herself.

I’m not the most poetic person but to me, this attention to detail and character design is why disney will always be #1. I was so thrilled to see Elsa step into her power and not be held back. This small (to some) detail is a huge reason as to why I love Frozen 2, next to the songs of course!! I hope someone else out there appreciates this detail too :)

Frozen 2

Go see it. I rarely see movies twice in theaters but this was one of them! I have only seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rocketman, and The Joker twice in theaters and now I can proudly add Frozen 2 to my list! The music is spot on, the character development ticks all my boxes... although, the plot twist was not as devastating as Frozen 1! I felt like the story was also a little simple, but for me the music made up for it 210%. I haven’t been able to stop listening to the soundtrack! Thank goodness for Spotify.

Having a go at macrame plant hangers. It’s much more difficult than I expected it to be! I’m not an accurate person but for these they have to be precise! This project has been testing me but I like what I’ve created so far!
