I’m just thinking…other masters probably gave Obi-Wan the biggest side eye when he faked his death without telling Anakin or even Ahsoka. Imagine Depa pulling Caleb Dume to the side, and is just “oh Caleb I would never do that to you.” Anakin hugging Ahsoka extra hard that night, glaring at Obi-Wan, who was in Anakin timeout for the next two weeks. Even Count Dooku to himself was just “tsk tsk, even I couldn’t have done that to my dear Qui-Gon.” Even Kanan in the future just being like “As your master Ezra I will never fake my death and refuse to tell you that I did and have you and crew throw a funeral for my fake body, I promise okay?” And Ezra is just “That’s weirdly specific…but uh okay Master.”

Thinking about that line, "I'm a person and my name is Anakin", that he says when Padme asked if he's a slave... It's really symbolic and sad, that the first thing Palpatine does when inducting Anakin is making him kneel and then taking away his name.

Every piece of star wars media that has Rex is better than any Star Wars media without him. With that said, genuinely nobody remembers who Fives is.

Despite my everlasting love for the show anytime I rewatch One Tree Hill there are things that absolutely did not work or never made sense as to why they didn’t make it work. Q’s character arc was great and his death was very impactful. Introducing his little brother Andre to be a friend to Jamie made sense and was genuine (not to mention the actor playing Andre was a poc) Not allowing that to thrive and replacing that friendship with former bully Chuck for 3 seasons I will never forgive.

This. They made it seem like Q was so impactful on the entire Scott family, hell, the entire core group. And then his family disappears? Nathan visit his grave when he makes the NBA and then that's the last time he's mentioned??? Also, maybe a hot take but I absolutely hate Chuck. There's no fuckin reason for him to exist, especially not when Jamie had a different friend that could've filled the same roll.

Was thinking about how we were robbed of Clone Wars podracing episode and it let me to thinking about Vader podracing and how fucking funny that would be.

Just completely unnecessary, he makes a stop at the most random planet to do some podracing, even funnier if he stops by on Tatooing cuz it's the only thing that dustball is good for and poor Obi-Wan's just moping around and sees him and has to run away to the sound of Sandstorm while Vader's helmet's probably playing Tokio Drift completely oblivious (no I did not watch TPM podracing scene to Tokio Drift and I do not think it totally slapped wdym).

Palpatine, at the end of his rope with this shit, is like "why?" and Vader's like "it was necessary"

The Emperor just makes podracing illegal throughout the Empire and Vader's just looking at him like "that has never stopped me. And you know this!"

No bc there's this non-canon kid-ish show called Freemakers, and it's animated in a style that all the characters are LEGO. Anyway there is a scene where Vader gets a Naboo star fighter and goes nuts and that is the vibe im envisioning here

I know about the "It would be mercy to kill him. He wasn't feeling very merciful" line in the ROTS novelization, but I also like to imagine that part of the horror and trauma that will later haunt the rest of Obi-Wan's life, is that when he said 'i loved you' he expected that to be true, in the sense he really expected that after all Anakin has done, he expected all love or afection to be gone, loved, past tense.

I think Obi-Wan would struggle with the idea of love not being conditional, he did want to inflict pain on Anakin, he wasn't feeling merciful after all, but then he has to come to terms that he wanted to inflict horrible pain on someone he still loves because Obi-Wan's biggest life realization ever must have been that love and feelings aren't a button that you can press back and forth when is or not convenient. And loving someone that -you don't know why- decided to decimate and kill and betray you and your entire order and for a good reason gives you very good reasons to hate is definitely an inconvenient if you're Obi-Wan Kenobi, most repressed man of the galaxy. Which makes his time in that cave even more miserable, beating himself for thinking he's failed as a jedi because his attachments.

So yet another good reason for the separation of Anakin and Vader in Obi-Wan's mind, is partially so he doesn't drive himself to a wall and hits his head until he bleeds, because is easier to say he loved someone that died, and he wanted someone he hates to suffer for his horrid acts.

Not to mentioned the disdain Obi-Wan would feel from wanting to inflict pain on someone. Only a sith would want to inflict pain on someone, regardless the reason.

Besides I truly believe that in his mind Anakin is dead. If he held any belief that Anakin, his brother, apprentice, and best friend was still alive he'd have tried to find him in the years he spent in aforementioned cave. Unlike many surrounding him, I think Obi-Wan believes that Anakin was consumed by darkness, and has not an ounce of good remaining.
