Thinking about how Johnny and Dally probably didn’t have that many photos because it was the 1960s and pictures weren’t as accessible they as they are now, especially with their socioeconomic status. Imagine the digging reporters had to go through to find pictures of Johnny and see only like school photos and pictures that maybe Mr. And Mrs. Curtis took years before. (We all know the Cades didn’t take many if ANY pictures of Johnny)

Probably even less of Dally because we aren’t even sure how long he attended school. Maybe some from New York and some from the Curtis albums.

Imagine old Ponyboy, who would be like 75ish now trying to find a picture to show his grandkids of Johnny and Dally only to see the few he had started to fade…still black and white. (Color photos did exist of course back then but still not that common in yearbooks and newspapers back in the early-mid 60s) Does it show how icy blue Dally’s eyes really were? Or how black Johnny’s hair really looked in reality? Or are those details just preserved in Pony, Darry’s, Soda’s, Two-Bit’s and Steve’s memories?

I know Obi-Wan’s brain would have short circuited when he sees Luke and Leia yelling for the first time as Luke looked like Anakin when pissed but sounded like Padmé’s “I’m angry beyond belief but I simply sound very disappointed” voice and Leia looked like Padmé but has Anakin’s “I’m pissed and the whole galaxy shall hear me roar” voice and Obi-Wan is just “oh no”
