Everything about Ahsoka makes sense when you filter it through the lens of "she was a child soldier". Now, I don't know that this was INTENTIONAL as a writing choice, since Clone Wars is a children's show so Ahsoka was probably meant to be someone kids could relate to, rather than a commentary on child soldiers, but. But it's there.

Her eagerness to please.

Her aching pain as she realizes the burden of leadership (clones die because of her decisions. Someday, she may send them to their death, and it won't be a mistake; it will be war).

Her inability early on to take things seriously (she's a little girl on a battlefield but she's been told often enough that it's her duty, that it's the way to be a Jedi, that all her peers are doing it, that it feels more like a class than a war).

Her unrelenting ferocity.

Her reaction to being arrested.

Her reaction to Order 66.

Her guilt following it.

Her growing solemnity.

Her disconnected demeanor in Rebels and the Ahsoka series.

Her sudden revival after seeing Anakin again.

It's all there.

i think the key difference between george lucas’s star wars and disney’s star wars is that lucas is a man with an ideology. someone with a point of view, and all that entails. which comes with ideas of revolution, anti-imperialism, challenging the status quo, cultural appropriation and racist stereotypes. complex and contradictory ideas because that’s how artists are: complex and complicated people. disney is not. disney is a corporation. a corporation can’t have ideology, because ideology defeats the purpose of profit. and when the only thing you do is to turn on the movie manufacturing machine before you sit down and plan what ideas are you trying to convey to the audience, then your results are going to be washed out corporate garbage. and because when you’re a giant corporation who only cares about selling to the widest audience possible, you can’t take sides. you can’t decide on an idea. because you want to sell your product to people who are on the entire political spectrum. which results in movies without ideology, without purpose, without soul.

I do NOT understand the people who defend the Jedi for rako hardeen. Like they specifically took advantage of Anakins emotional state to sell that obi wan "died." Like what was going through their minds?? Only a year or two ago anakin had lost his mom and they thought it was a good idea?! And also faking it in front of a 14/15 year old ahsoka is also insane like that's traumatic. And then people still defend them and call anakin a crybaby for it. Istg Anakin haters just don't like sensitive people or people who yk have feeling!!

My point exactly! a) could've said something after the funeral so, you know, Anakin doesn’t kill Obi-Wan himself by accident while trying to catch his killer?

Or b) neither he not Ahsoka had to be there.

And if it is to be argued that neither would sell it so well and emotionally wrecking Anakin more and damaging the one relationship with jedi authority that still kinda works on him was necessary...

AHSOKA DID NOT HAVE TO BE THERE, NEITHER DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE HER STILL GOING AROUND WITH THE EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE MESS OF A MAN.
