“No.” Allie reciprocated his sentiment, shaking her head quickly as he apologized. “Harry…” She trailed off, only speaking again once he had finished. “We’re not in New Ham anymore.” She repeated, softer this time as she reached out to hold him at arm’s length. “We’re here, on Naboo or whatever.” A laugh escaped her as she rolled her eyes. She didn’t care where they were, as long as they were safe and well taken care of. “And we forgive each other. I forgive you.” Forgiving herself was another matter entirely, but she couldn’t blame Harry anymore. “Have you seen anyone else?” There was a mixture of worry and hope in her eyes. Best case, Cassandra would be back, but worst case…Campbell or Dewey would show up. There was no doubt in Allie’s mind that those two would try to kill her.
“Listen,” she began, glancing around, “I hate to break up this moment, but I don’t really have a place to stay now that I’m here.” She chewed on her lower lip. “I was on some planet called Coruscant, but now that I’m here––” Her shoulders shrugged. “Would you mind if I crashed on your floor or something?” She asked. They’d done it countless times in their fake life; sleepovers were the norm if they were going to go on an early morning trip, even if Harry was in a separate room. But there was an unspoken difference that hung in the air with Allie’s question. This wasn’t a childish experience the night before an expedition. Her feelings had changed on Coruscant––she’d realized how much she truly needed Harry, and she wondered if she was feeling something towards him more than just platonic love. Her eyes flickered away nervously, feeling the weight of her question.
Harry could feel his heart beating faster as she spoke - not out of fear or anger as it had so many times since arriving in Woodshore, but rather from excitement. There was so much he had wanted to tell since the moment that they had become friends - even the moment he’d first set his eyes upon her. God, he can still remember that day as if he were living it now. She was so much more than the neighbor girl at this point. More than a friend, even. And though he’d never admitted it out loud, there was something more between them than just the bond of a friendship. For a moment, he’s lost in thought, his mind still wrapping itself around the fact that she’s actually standing there in front of him. But it’s her first question that pulls him out from his own mind. “No, I haven’t.” He said, shaking his head. “Just me.”
Harry had never been a fan of Star Wars in his life and so this whole planet thing - well, everything about being here, really - was beyond unfamiliar to him. Honestly, he probably couldn’t have told her the planet they were on if she’d asked him. Just another perk of having her back in his life. Allie was always able to keep him on track. It’s what she was good at. The shotgun navigator on their road trips. The one who always created helpful study guides for tests. The person he could rely on in any situation. And so, without hesitation, he immediately responded, “Yeah, of course you can.” He knew exactly what was implied by her question. Sure, it was a similar situation to so many they’d found themselves in prior to this moment, but both knew that there was something bigger happening now - something they both knew was coming for a long time. “You can stay for as long as you want.” He paused for a moment, a smile lingering on his lips as he just stared at her for a moment. Finally, he broke the gaze and pulled her gently into a hug again, reassuring himself that he wasn’t dreaming.
