A baroque viola tune interpreted on folk violin, with electronic sci-fi facets. Serge plays a beloved song for Isabel that tells a story of tragedy and love. In Serge’s Song, two machines move in a mechanical minuet.

An eternal pirouette through lush dreams in shadowed forest light, the song moves fluidly like wind through the leaves, while the video breathes imagination into nature’s cycles. Clio Em is a Vienna-based classical composer, opera singer, writer and photographer, and the fanciful, leafy and brand-new video for her song “Green” was directed by Hali Rey, who created all of the visuals as well. The track is part of her ambitious and inspiring Gravity Wing album and novel project, one you can learn more about right here.

My film for Clio Em’s song Green.

Hali Rey’s film falls from the heavens as enchantingly as stardust or a spell, while the music sails calmly on a solemn whimsy. Vienna-based composer, musician and polymath Clio Em recorded her “Raven Dress” on an antique acoustic piano, then manipulated the sound electronically, the result a moving piece for the end credits of a dream. The song is part of her science-fiction concept album Gravity Wing, and you can read more about it and hear it here.
